Several years ago I open an account with Armed Forces Bank to obtain a CAP Loan. Great program for people in the military if you’re in a bind and need money asap. All you need to be is an active member of the military. They will deduct back what you owe with a small interest rate. Was in an accident where I lost an extreme amount but not my life. Upon several months of recovery I started to settled a lot of debt I had and the CAP loan was one them. So I thought I was all good with the bank. Got a call this morning asking what I wanted to do with my account. I forgot I had one active with them. The representative informed me they have been deducting service fees monthly from it. This has been happening for almost a year and half. It’s been happening to the point where they depleted the account and it’s currently drawing a negative amount $1.08. I asked how much have they taken in fees since I paid off the loan just having an account with them and they said over $200 dollars. But since I wanted to close the account now they will refund that negative $1.08 to make the account concurrent. So this bank has been charging me fees that could have been avoid if I would have gotten a call like I did this morning about it over a year ago but instead keep charging fees until I have no money in a account I had with them. Wouldn’t you think for the sake of a good consumer to bank relationship they would have called me over a year ago to see why I’m just paying these fees instead of satisfying the account??????? I paid off the loan in full but you don’t give me a call to highlight all the ?? fees I’ve been paying. You only tell me when there is no more money for you to involuntarily take. Stay away from this bank.

I have banked with Armed Forces Bank for many years, I did sign up for alerts when opening this account. In the past I was alerted through email as well as text when my account was close to negative. Within the last month I have received 740.00 in overdraft fees without any alerts of my account being under 100.00. I called today to see if I could get this resolved was told they can only reverse 60 dollars of the fees. This is outrageous.

Zabiullah S, I have been banking with the Armed forces bank since 2009.My biggest issues have been with customer care either they have provided me wrong information or given me ran around.Today 27/11/2024 I woke up only to find out the all of mine and my spouse Debate Cards have been restricted and put on hold on our account which we were not able to use. After bringing up the issue to the staff attention we were put through what I would describe it as investigation rather than just a quick verification. We felt really scared and mostly left without any help while didn't have access to our funds. We felt helpless and very violated of our rights which was access to our account and fund.We felt we were discriminated against of getting help while not having any access to our fund or account.Im deeply disappointed in the bank for having such poor service and I'm looking into closing my account due to the poor customer service.

I have been with Armed Forces Bank for well over 20 years. They encouraged me to set up an online account at the bank and they would help. After about 30 minutes entering all my information and they hit enter. The account locked out and no one has ever been able to access the account even the manager at the bank. So now I have no idea who has my info and it has made ot a super headache to even transfer funds or anything thing except on base.

I will never bank with another bank owned be Dickinson Financial group!! I started Banking with Armed Forces Bank in 1996, in the Last 5 years they’ve become complete Trash, putting deposits in wrong accounts, holding checks for an absurd amount of time, and ridiculous interest rates on loans.. I do not recommend anyone use them.

I am a new account holder started February 20, 2024. And I have not received my card. It says it takes 10 to 14 business days I’d have to do transfers through the bank but I have been locked out every single day since. Except for Saturday and Sunday, which I was blocked all weekend because they don’t deal with any issues except for Monday through Friday 8 to 5 CT. Every single time all I was told is a different story I couldn’t use wire, ACH, transfer now, external transfer, and I even had two accounts linked with it and both verified through their process. And what the big problem is is their security questions they ask you 5 to 6 questions of your history and they even ask even if you had no part with anybody property they asked if I was associated with it Friday Monday Tuesday I passed today they gave me some off-the-wall questions as far as my past, and I failed it And now my accounts locked and I have to send a drivers license photo with a signature on a white piece of paper to get it unlocked. Meanwhile, my direct deposit which they forced me to do to get the bank account is stuck in there and I’ve had no money since Thursday. There is no way to get MY money until that gets done. They say they record phone conversations, but all they have to do is look at it and know that I am real because I’ve already sent all that stuff when I applied for the checking account and a small line of credit I never believed, in banks, I haven’t had a bank or credit for 20 years, because this exact reason I trusted my floor safe more than I trust the bank and this is what I get because the only thing you can do these days is have credit the dollar amount don’t mean nothing anymore in cash. I was told for being a veteran that this would be a great bank. And lastly, I set up a phishing password for this after the second time of calling in, but they say that don’t work for external transfer locks. Sincerely Coach C****

I would give 0 stars if possible. This company and its policies are ridiculous. I’m trying to make an external transfer to another account and after I entered the account information it won’t let me transfer to that account. They want me to wait 2-3 business days so the account is “verified” I JUST VERIFIED THE INFORMATION MYSELF WHEN I ENTERED IT. GIVE ME MY MONEY. On top of the fact that their automated services suck. I’ve tried to get a new debit card and it’s impossible. Go bank with navy federal. They actually care about their customers and aren’t a complete hassle to work with

I opened a checking account on line on Sunday. Monday morning I have a letter from loss prevention closing the new account. I called to find out what happened. I was told the bank didn't want to do business with me. I have good credit, a job, several retirements, yet no one at this ***** **** bank had the professionalism to explain this completely arbitrary decison. Stay away!
