      In mid February I hired Rhode’s fence to install a six foot, cedar privacy fence. The cost was just below $8,500 and I was alright with that. There were scheduling issues from the beginning however, no other fence company would even return my calls for a quote so I felt as though Rhodes was my only option. Once work began I was told they’d be done within two, maybe three days. They began work on a Monday and did not return OR call to let me know that they weren’t planning on returning until the next week. They ended up coming back that Friday but, only after I spoke with the owner about being unhappy. This was extremely inconvenient as I have a full time job as well and had my mother come stay with me just so there wound be someone here when they returned. That turned out to be for nothing. Work was finished on Friday of the same week they started; They began on Monday and finished Friday but only came on those two days. The days in between they were just simply a no call, no show. Now that the work has been finished, one entire side of the fence is already coming loose. The fence has been up now for approximately one month. Ironically enough, the poorly crafted side of the fence is also the side where my fence post were placed about 18 inches inward from my actual property line, which has essentially meant that I’ve forfeited that much of my yard. I have not even complained about that, only the many loose boards. I have called their office multiple times with never an answer or returned call. I also contacted the owner to express my concerns and he was very clearly uninterested in hearing about how his company has wronged me. I was simply told to call the office and wait for a call back. The fence is supposed to be under warranty for one year but there isn’t actually any warranty if no one will communicate. Now that I’m out $8,500 for a fence that is supposed to be under warranty, I still have to find yet another company and then pay even more to fix Rhodes errors
