      This is a company that uses deceptive means to get your money. I called a number trying to reach my insurance company to inform them that I mistakenly received mail that belonged to a different client. Somehow I was redirected to this company. When I explained why I was calling, the agent pretended to be associated with my company and then tried to sell me an insurance policy using fraudulent means by giving me misinformation. It took me a few minutes to figure out what this guy was doing and put a stop to it! Beware!

      They don't deserve a star at all. It's a terrible and misleading company. I invested 3 years in the company for insurance and canceled it after 3 years. The coverage was misleading and I lost 3 years of my money with nothing refundable. I got hosed . It is a rip off.

      Was bombarded by a phone call after overnight shift. I stated repeatedly over the phone I do not want a policy. I was send a policy confirmation number and a charge on my card. I repeatedly told them I do not give you permission to charge me I do not want a policy and now I’m getting emails saying my policy has been started. I’m going to stop payment through my bank. The number on the website is in correct and customer support over email is horrible. This is theft. I never wanted your service or asked for it or needed it but they charged me anyways. I will be seeking legal counsel asap.

      this company is dishonest to the point of not paying death claims -- i am a financial professional 35 years in the life and annuity business and never seen such deception and chicanery in the way AMERICO gets away with not paying death benefit claims on its Jointly Owned Non-Qualifed Annuity contracts when annuitant dies and the joint surviving owner spouse is beneficiary they don't allow lump sum payment payment option by way of 1035 exchange except for first doing spousal continuation of contract to include surrender charges. How they've been able to get away with this criminal activity for so long I don't understand but soon the media and general public will all know and this company will be shut down by regulators as there's no crime in the insurance and annuity business worse than not paying death claims

      Horrible company. My husband entered a partial withdrawl request on June 4th by fax and by uploading it into the portal. He has yet to recieve the money which was suppose to be directly transferred into our bank account. When you call cusomter service all they say is its in processing. They can't verify if there are any issues with the request (such as if it was properly completed). They just say that if there is a problem they will send out a letter. (something else to take more time). They won't allow you to speak to someone in the processing department. Why do they have a portal if they aren't going to utilize it to communicate with their clients? Since the amount showing in the portal hasn't changed, it dosen't appear that the withdrawl has been processed at all.

      THIS IS A TERRIBLE COMPANY! They cancelled my loved ones policy for no reason. We paid our money every single month despite the numerous times they messed up our billing and tried on multiple occasions incorrectly. The policy was up to date and active then all of a sudden we call to make another payment and we are told that there was addendum sent out. We were told there would be and it was confirmed to us that it was sent to the WRONG ADDRESS! Which is no fault of ours. Now the policy is cancelled. MAKES NO SENSE. The employee we were speaking to had no idea what was going on and when asking for factual information was giving us the wrong dates! The manager refused to get on the phone. THIS IS THE WORST EXPERIENCE AND WE HAVE STILL NOT GOT THIS RESOLVED. GROSS COMPANY AND I'M GOING CONTINUE TO TRY TO RESOLVE THIS MATTER THERE IS NO REASON THE POLICY WAS CANCELLED! THIS IS NOT OUR FAULT AND I WILL NOT BE SWEEP UNDER THE RUG!

      Sarah who works in the new business department has the worst customer service and is extremely entitled. She would not transfer the call to the inforce policy services. Speaking to terribly rude people like Sarah makes it difficult for clients to work with Americo. I had to cancel my policy because Sarah left a bad taste in my mouth and the last thing I would want is for my beneficiaries to have to deal with terrible people like her. Get your life insurance policies elsewhere they do not want to help and just take your money!

      Enough said. ZERO customer service. Can't get a hold of anyone, and our agent dropped us like a hot potato once he got our policies switched over. He was supposed to be working on a policy for my daughter. Now my daughter has no life insurance and he's nowhere to be found and all Americo is doing Is passing the buck off onto Mutual of Omaha who denied her. And don't even reply to me to message your customer service, Americo, because we are past that point months ago.

      If I could give them a negative one star I would. They called me for state licensing and I was told to make a decision by Friday 5/3 I told them countless times that I was not unrolling to their life insurance policy. I never signed any paperwork and they charged my account after automatically enrolling. I was Scammed by this company. They transferred me to there “supervisor” he had me to say codes and not wanting me to look at text documents and didn’t give me information. They trapped me! I spoke with my husband and decided the same day to cancel!!! They told me I can’t cancel and I have to pay for it. I am not paying a signal dime!!!! Legally they have to cancel me for I did not sign up for it but they are saying I did.
