My service shifter light came on in my vehicle. I made an appointment with the dealership for my car to be diagnosed. As they had my vehicle I did ask for a loaner vehicle to get around and they said they have none available and that since my vehicle is a dodge charger they can only give me a charger or challenger and none was available per ****. They had my vehicle since June 17,2024. When they called me back to tell me what was wrong with my vehicle it was June 19,2024 they told me I needed my shifter replaced and I also needed a fuel filter and a thermostat. I then told them to go ahead and just fix the shifter only. **** told me the vehicle would be ready next day. The next day came and I didn’t get a call I called and left messages for **** to call and he finally called back june 27th left a message on my voicemail sayin that they ran across another problem and now I needed to fix something else wow. Still they said they have no loaner vehicle available for me to get around. He told me I needed a valve body and so I told them to fix it. Finally he called and said the car was ready. My wife came and picked up the vehicle and the car was slipping out of gear. She then called back and told them **** was not around so she drove it back up there. Still no loaner vehicle but they offered to drop her off at home. They called back and said they ran test and didn’t find anything they also said they drove it. So after talking to **** the next day he said that he will test it and call me right back. This was on June 12,2024 and I called today on June 13,2024 and is unable to reach him.

On Oct 19, 2023 I took my 2017 Jeep Grand Cherokee to Cable Dahmer Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram to Investigate a Warning light on my dash. 1) The Business told me to leave my Jeep overnight for diagnosis in the morning. 2) They told me it would be $200 to provide me a full diagnostic. 3) The following morning they called and told me "Not very good news my man". "You need a New Drive Control Module and a new Transfer Case. "Your Transfer case is damaged internally causing your wheels to lock. It's required to replace the module with the transfer case replacement". We need to order the parts... about 7 days and 3 days for the repair.....Plus we recommend a fuel system flush... $5,045.66 total." I asked, "If it is mechanically damaged, how come the light is intermittent and fixes itself on different ignition cycles?" He said his mechanic was certified and he trusts what he's being told. My BS alarm went off. I cannot afford a $5,000 repair bill for my Jeep that is out of warranty. I decided to drive my Jeep home and do more research. I read many posts online related to the issue (Expensive transfer cases being replaced unnecessarily) The posts convinced me to just replace the module. I ordered the Transfer Case Control Module on A****n $127.99. My jeep is better than new! 4) I called the Service manager "***** and told him I would not be returning for the $5,045 replair, as I fixed the vehicle myself for $128. I asked him if he thought it was right for me to pay $200 for a mis-diagnosis. He agreed and said he would write me check and I should have it by Friday. 5) I never received a refund, He refuses to return my calls. ********** customer service says they cannot help with dealership issues. I feel bad for the many people who have been scammed in a similar manner. This is a rampant issue with perfectly good $5,000 transfer cases being replaced at owners expense. This warrants an investigation. 6) *** ***************************************************************
