Purchased a vehicle in September 2024. Within 2 weeks I had to take the vehicle to the service center to replace/ fix motor mounts, and needed the ecm sensor replaced along with an issue with the sterling column. After that in October about two weeks later my brakes seized up for causing the vehicle to catch fire. I personally paid 900 to have it repaired. Then in November my transmission and power train went out. Now here it is the beginning of January and the vehicle is once again back in the shop because of an esp issue again causing my brakes to seize on all 4 rotors. The ppl who should be providing customer service and support have done nothing but hang up in my face. I was called out my name by *****. Every time I ask about the status of repair I get talked to like I'm interrupting or I simply do not matter. This company has done nothing but brought a living nightmare to my everyday reality.

We have already spoken with *** ******* and we are putting her in another vehicle.  Brakes and brake systems are not covered under the warranty, but we have done our best to figure this out for our customer, so the complaint is absolutely unnecessary.

      Sincerely,

Hello, this complaint is in regards to Auto Banks, Financial Dept. whom also lists themselves as the creditors on your credit report however I’m not quite sure there is half a human there that specializes in crediting because they are refusing you of those services. Per the letter they sent me (8/14/2022) it stated I had 10 days to try and get my car back for the total amt of: 10,619.30 (I’d put 9,000 or a little over into it in payments) if I could not the car would be auctioned off right that time frame. Their letter, per their business also states: After selling the car if they sell it for less then I owe, I’ll owe, if they sell it for more than I owe then they’ll owe me. For 2 years I went through a hardship it is over and I simply called this creditor to take the necessary steps to have it removed from my credit and resolve and they are refusing to give me any of the legal info I am requesting to process. They have shown to be bias, discriminative and racist and honestly it’s scary to really know if you can trust the paper work they provide because I know they can fraudulent but I am REQUESTING THE SOLD INFO PER THIS CARD SO I CAN PROCEED AND THEY ARE HINDERING ME IN THE MOST UNPROFESSIONAL AND UNETHICAL WAY. The document attached is THEIR PAPER THEY EMAILED ME.

      Business Response

      Date: 05/18/2024

*** ******* has continued to state we are racist and biased and those are unnecessary comments.  She has also been told that the vehicle was sold for 9075.00 and the remaining balance is 1544.30.  This is what is reported to credit and the vehicle was repossessed which is what was reported to credit.  There is nothing to be fixed as those are accurate statements.

      Sincerely,

On April 19 I inquired about a 2014 Hyundai Sonata and which was being sold by autobank KC. I’ve done quiring about the car. I was on the assumption that came with automatic start emergency shut down Bluelink telekinetic‘s which was very exciting because it was basically everything that I’ve never had. so finally on April 30 of 2023 I purchased the 2014 Hyundai Sonata white with all the features that were advertised by autobank KC after the sale was complete to my surprise. The features and services offered as options in the car that I bought from autobank KC I’ve been discontinued and are no longer active for me to use in my vehicle since 2022 almost a year before I purchased the The vehicle is a company advertised features options that would entice a buyer to purchase a vehicle from their place of business. This company falsely advertise options on a vehicle, they were no longer capable of even functioning. I was misled into purchasing a vehicle that did not come with exactly what I was paying for. I thought that I was paying for after speaking with the manager, **** ****** I was told that there was not anything that he was willing to do in regards to helping come up with a resolution to a problem that their business caused by the Falsely advertising a vehicle that was not capable of the options that they advertised

      Business Response

      To whom it may concern,

The 2014 Hyundai Sonata in fact did come with these as standard accessories in that model.  When purchasing a vehicle we use a VIN decoder which then gives us the standard factory settings and options for that vehicle.  This was a standard feature on this year, make and model.

I have reviewed a Hyundai dealer in town as well as ****** and both feature this on their advertising, showing that it is a standard option that was on those vehicles.  We apologize if Hyundai or a third party has chosen to sunset this program, but you would have to discuss that with the manufacturer.

      Sincerely,

On 02/21/23 I bought an 2015 Hyundai Sonata from auto bank sales man *****. I was aware of the open recalls and was told Hyundai will fix and replace for free. Car was advertised as $4995 and I was charged $5200. Car was sold to me without an safety inspection I didn’t get until a week later from **** that physically didn’t not do it and fraudulently wrote me one up. Two weeks after having the car it went out on me auto bank was willing to fix it but the car wouldn’t move from my drive way. Finally get it up there to be turned around and rudely dismissed. Hyundai fixed all recalls but engine due to it being out of warranty and the person before me should of got it in. Car was sold as is but it is an federal lemon law act. I’ve been reaching out for the past two months trying to get this issue resolved. I’m now with out an job due to no transportation. I can’t do class action law suit only private attorney, mutual agreement or small claim court. I’m only asking for $750 back which is more then reasonable I’m just trying to make ends meet. I find myself in a whole due to this situation.

I am rejecting this response because: comes to find out that Empire financial aka auto bank ran my credit without my consent I’ve only put my ssn as instructed by salesman ******. ***** and ****** had access to my paperwork and fraudulently opened an auto loan on my credit for the cash car I bought. ***** confirmed on video they only report to ********** as that should not have been the case on an CASH CAR! information did get received from ********** from ****** ***** and *******. I was denied financing with another business due to this. Owner ******* called me liar -and insisted they run a hard credit check on me. I showed proof of the loan and he was very rude and dismissive of my attorney that was on my cell phone with a call with me.

There was never any credit ran, she filled out application and put in system but did not run credit because it was a cash deal.. When she came to the office she was told her we only report to ********** because she insisted it was *******...I called our systems coordinator to see why it may have reported in error..They told me that when a deposit is put on a cash car the system will pickup as payments once closed out it will fall off on reporting...This is easily fixed with a system we use to correct situations as this...There was no fraud from our side, the system corrected itself and it fell off ********** and has since not reported.  The owner simply tried to let her know he wanted to get all the facts before he decided how to handle her complaint. Nothing more nothing less..  the lady on the phone she claims is an attorney was recorded as well cursing and using bad language and was asked to please stop cursing there was no need for this...I don't believe that this is how Attorneys conduct themselves...

I am rejecting this response because: there was no deposit put on the car amount was paid in full and bought the same day! An application shouldn’t not have been done or sent to ********** for a cash car. As you must know ******* and ****** ***** get all information from **********. I’ve opened a fraudulent dispute with ********** by the way. If that is the case you guys did not disclose that information would be sent to a credit bureau. It’s illegal to submit such documentation to my credit line for an cash car period. The lady you speaking of at the first location on front street is not an attorney you are correct about that. Now as of the lady on the phone when I talked with the owner at the main location was indeed my family attorney stating to him is fraud to put an auto loan on a cash car. You guys move in scheming ways. You can agree with my first complaint as it being a AS IS car but didn’t address anything else in my complaint pointing to guilty.

I bought a car from them about a year ago which they said came with a 6k mile or 6 month warranty. I took it to their service department to get the transmission looked at and some computer things done. When I picked it up I immediately noticed nothing was done with the transmission nor did I get any paperwork for things they did and didn't do. After taking it to another place I found out that the transmission has to be serviced at a dealership. I finally get in to a dealership but unfortunately after my warranty is up. The dealership informs me I need a new transmission which is 10,000 dollars. I knew something wasn't right when I took it for the test drive but they assured me any problems would be taken care of by the service shop and I also didn't think I'd need a new transmission just a fluid flush or something. Now I'm stuck with repairs that cost as much as the car when I bought it and am getting nowhere with them. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

      Business Response

*** ********  I am sorry to hear that your transmission has failed.  While you are clearly out of warranty we would be willing to fix it and finance repairs.  You would have to make an appointment and get a quote on replacing the transmission, but my best guess is it would be in the 2000-3500 ballpark.  If you can come up with half of the cost of repairs we would fix it and finance the remainder at no interest and get you driving again.

      Hope this helps,

I am rejecting this response because: the transmission needed replaced while it was still under warranty but your service manager ****** lied to my face and said nothing was wrong when I knew better. I've completed transmission schooling from Kansas City Kansas community college. As far as the ******** dealership said there is no kit to fix the issue and has to be replaced. So I am not willing to accept additional charges since the issue started under warranty nor do I trust your service department to do any work to my car.

The warranty expired over 6 months ago and the vehicle ran for another six months so it did not fail under warranty.  The offer I have made is very fair and far cheaper than other options.
we are willing to help you to this extent but we can not warrant something that has been out of warranty for at least the last six months.
if you want to go this route please contact me and I’ll get it into the transmission shop for you

***** ******, Consumer and Natural Person submitted a consumer credit application 03/03/23 to Auto Bank Of KC in Good Faith for a vehicle (2013 Buick) for Personal and Family purposes. Auto Bank Of KC charged my credit/SSN approved me for financing and a test drive, then verbally asked for a one thousand dollar down payment, I stated pursuant 15 U.S. Code 1662 advertising of down payments and installments as well as 15 CSR 60-8.090 Illegal Conduct. Business Response

*** ***** , As I stated to you when you applied to buy a car and also the response I have already made to another complaint; you are quoting law that has nothing to do with the application for credit with our company. When you applied for credit a credit bureau was pulled.  It was stated that you worked for one company, but yet it did not show up on your credit even though you had applied for cars at multiple locations in the months prior to coming to us.   Your credit was lean and had no good items to use to help you apply for credit with a low or no down payment.  Therefore, to get into a vehicle we required a low down payment of $1000.00 to get into a vehicle.  At this point you began quoting laws to me about advertisements that I hadn't done, and quite simply it looks like you are trying to bend the wording of one law to coincide with how you feel you should be treated.  There was no wrong doing and I simply asked you to leave after you argued with me for 10 minutes that I had broken laws that have nothing to do with your transaction.  The premise of your argument has to do with advertising, of which I did not advertise anything about no down payment.  I would ask that you familiarize yourself with "risk based pricing".  It states that credit bureaus will be pulled to determine annual percentage rate and down payment.  I believe this went into effect around 2011, but I do not guarantee that date. Finally, you were approved.  There was no discrimination, and you simply did not like the terms that were offered.

My car note has always been $268 every two weeks, until a couple of months ago when I received a call from Auto Bank KC’s Finance Office stating that my payment had not went through. After checking my bank account the money was in fact available. The lady I spoke with on the phone from Auto Bank then informed me that they had recently switched some services at the office and they may have lost my debit card information. I then tried to give her my card information over the phone so they could process the payment, and she told me that I had to come down to one of their offices to fill out new paperwork as she couldn’t take it over the phone. I am a Sous Chef by trade at ***** ****** **** in Downtown KCMO and my days are long, I go in before their offices open and I’m there until way past when their office closes, so I informed her that I would fill out the paperwork as soon as I possibly could. It wasn’t until a couple weeks later that I had my first day off since that call and I made my way to their sales office on Truman St. to fill out the paperwork. When filling out the paperwork I put my credit card number down as I was planning to get a new debit card since they had “lost” my information somehow. As soon as I left their office my original debit card was charged for $500, which means they had my information all along and chose to make me miss payments to drive up the interest and late fees. Ever since then they have been calling me non stop harassing me about the “past due balance” however they refuse to admit that the only reason it was past due was due to them “losing” my card information. I have paid my $268 every two weeks since then even when they changed my due date from Saturday to Tuesday without my knowledge. Now they have started to simply take $500 from me every two weeks and it is ruining my credit and pushing me deeper in debt. All I want is to be out from under this company so I can pay off the last $8500 of my debt and work to bring my credit back

We did have a system change in April and the Credit Card information was not transferred , we did however get ahold Of Mr. ******** to get his credit card number, we let him know at that time his auto payments were not able to go thru without the card, with new card information we always have to have a new form in order to run automatic payments, signed by customer...Our staff has had multiple conversations with Mr. ******* and he was aware  that the account was showing past due...Mr. ******* understandably busy and each time we contacted him he would be difficult and hang up on the staff. So we were not able to get resolved. We would like to get his account resolved and I would be happy to bring the account to current status and get the account back to auto pay status and the right card . . This would resolve any and all issues that Mr. ******* has with payments...Please let us know which card and we will get this updated , back to current status...We are not in the business to drive up late fees and interest...We want our customer to have a good experience with 1500 plus customers we run into issues from time to time but are willing to get them resolved for the customer to be satisfied. He may contact Miss ****** with correct card and we can move forward.  ************ My apologies for any inconveinence that Mr. ******* may have experienced.

This information is incorrect, she came to service and was  extremely aggresive with the staff and she told service that we would never see the car again once she had it back in her possession...We told her we felt our vehicle was in jeopardy , she offere4ed to pay 3 payments ahead. She then came to front street after getting car back and told our staff to remember her face causes it wasn't the only time we were going to see it that she didnt like our company. She stated once again that "goodluck finding the vehicle" .We still feel our vehicle is in jeopardy after the many threats we have received .

They are making it seem like I'm two months behind on payments which is not accurate. I have been making payments but they took my car. Our income changed because my spose lost his job and then I got a job and started making the payments. I made over three payments to them and he also made payments to them. And we put a down payment on the car. We were told it was $10,000 for the car and it dropped it down to $8,000. The lady was rude and disrespectful. She didn't even want me to talk. I tried to de-escalate the situation.  I told her I was making the payments and she was just being really rude and disrespectful. I told her we're going through a hard economy right now and she's going to cost me my job. I can't walk twenty minutes to the job. She didn't even care she was just being rude. She hung up in my face. I asked to speak to the manager and she wouldn't give the phone to the manager. I called back later that day and she picked up. I called back another day and asked if she could bring my car back. I have a lot of stuff on my plate. This lady did not care at all. She had taken a payment prior to me paying. I want her to work with me on my payments or give me all of my money back including my down payment.

I purchased a vehicle and warranty from AutoBank in late March 2022. I have just reach my first oil change (3000 miles) and my car has had to be shopped 4 times for transmission diagnostics. It’s a 100$ deductible every time and the first 3times they refused to repair it. Claiming they don’t work on transmissions, and admitting it needed serviced. I haven’t had my car for a week each time, and this time it has been out of service since 6-7-2022. I’m still currently paying for a car, that I do not have. I feel I have gotten the run around and I am at the point of frustration. I have a warranty. I’ve made all payments asked. I’ve been car less a lot ??. My fear is being stuck I a car with transmission troubles. The purchase is 13,000. The transmission slip shifts gears, rolls away when in gear, and over revs. The first trip to the shop, 100$ charged to “top off fluids”. 2nd trip to shop 100$ charged to “top off fluids” I refused to take car back due to transmission fluid being black, metallic and burnt. I received a call a week later to get my car back with refusal to fix. I sent emails to the sales staff who made the shop take my car and actually send it somewhere. Now I’m just waiting to hear back when and how much I can pick it back up for. Also while my car was in for transmission work, they changed parts on my air conditioning system that I didn’t know about or ask for.

******* came in on a weekend that I was out of town approximately 5/28/22 and told the sales staff that he was in over his head and wanted to return the car, they informed him that it would show as a repossession being that it has been couple months.. So week or so went by he came in and sat at my desk and told me that i was suppose to call him and was extremely rude and not easy to deal with...Explained that its a repossession by law and nothing I can do about it...Then he takes the car to the shop says transmission is slipping , they fixed the Air Conditioning and sent the car to * * * 3/22/22 and at that time they said it  needed fluid and couldn't find and issue and the car wasn't acting up (because we don't do transmission work at our shop we send it out to a third party)******* sent me and mail around June 16, 2022 stating transmission is bad..Car was dropped off to us June 21,2022 which we took to a dealership called ********** ***** *** and it was diagnosed needing solonoids and then the car was transported to * * * transmission to perform the work...June 28, 2022 car is ready , from * * * transmission with a bill of 1042.92 which is included in documents.  June 29,2022 received an email from Mr. ******** stating ....he received his car back  from the shop with no charge to him , not even the deductible that we show in our warranty,   we waived the deductible, he claims the transmission is once bad again, that he has informed the BBB of his ongoing troubles with lack of cooperation...Not sure how this is a lack of cooperation, he claims he is protected under the consumer protection act, tired of paying for a broken down car, and you know my intentions...I feel he is being unreasonable and we have taken the car to a dealership for diagnosis to help him out.  The fact that he wants to turn the car in and doesn't want a repossessing on his credit , this comes into play to help his cause..We have no issues taking the car back, we can't and will not do any illegal actions for a credit bureau. The service manager  drove the car from transmission shop and absolutely no issues when the car went into his possession.

      Complaint: ********

I am rejecting this response because:I have never came into your work when you were not there. Also my transmission troubles started in April. By your own admission my vehicle has been serviced multiple times and parts changed at my expense. I have made my payments in full on time and with the exception of times I was also paying “ warranty deductibles “ I have paid extra. Obviously no one wants a repossession on they recorded and it offends me that you keep bringing it up as a resolution. My car is back in my possession. My warranty specifically covers transmission fluids. My transmission fluid happens to be black, burnt, metallic. And I have hand written notes from your mechanics stating it needs services that you won’t cover. Fix my car, or take it bake.

      Regards,
