I received medical care at this facility on June 26th 2022. After insurance deductions, Lee's Summit Medical Center billed me for $764.29. I asked to set up a payment plan and over the course of 3 months I paid $574.11. Before I went to make my final payment with them. I received a statement from my insurance company stating that the patient responsibility was only $585.91 and not $764.29. I called Lee's Summit medical center and the person I spoke to on and alleged recorded line stated that, yes I did in fact only owe the remaining $11.80. I asked if I could pay it, and was told that I could not pay that amount until the account was reviewed and the amount due was adjusted. That was back in January of 2023. Since then I have received several bills and calls for the initial amount of $764.29. I have explained myself multiple times, and each time the person I speak with concludes that I only owe $11.80, but that I can't pay it until the account is reviewed. I received a call today stating that I owed over that $764.29 and I explained the situation again, and was told that after the review they determined I owed that amount of money. I do not want this affecting my credit, especially since I should only have to pay $11.80. I have proof of payment, and again I was on an alleged recorded line, so they should have proof of these conversations.
