      I am a disabled women that lives in these apartments in **********. I am now being targeted and harasses by the manager and her supervisor for filing complaints on work orders not being done. (Including toilet not working, refrigerator not working and ac not working.) Some issues I have paid for so that I could have the necessities I need. The current manager has spent several months not providing any services for the complex I live in. However ***** does show up to visit with the mother (another tenant) of Kellys current incarcerated boyfriend. I pay my rent and ***** is socializing with the boyfriends family during office hours. ***** asked me to let her supervisor know that the last manager (Chey) was to blame for issues not being fixed. I complied out of fear for my living situation. Now I am being targeted and harassed because ***** could not get into my apt. I explained the last maint. person stole from me and it was returned so I would not file charges. Kellys supervisor a month ago told me there was a new maintenance person hired to fixed issues. I asked ***** yesterday where he was. ***** responded in jail. Again this is the 4th person hired and incarcerated working for Maco. This is a major safety issue for elderly and disabled people.

      Management and maintenance have both addressed the concerns outlined in the work orders she submitted as well as the verbal ones she has provided the office. We have requested multiple times that she complete the work orders so we are aware of the issues in which the tenant has advised she will not do so. Upon notice of the issues in her apartment maintenance was scheduled to complete the repairs. The tenant refused to admit access to the maintenance, so we rescheduled and provided notice of entry in advance as outlined by the lease agreement. At this time the tenant advised management that she would not be allowing us access and changed the locks to her doors so that maintenance could not access the unit to repair the items on the work order. We have offered several solutions to her concerns so that we can access the unit and make the necessary repairs, but she will not comply nor speak with management to work out a time and date of entry. At this time the tenant was provided notice of violation of the lease agreement that advises of the right to entry with proper notice for inspections and maintenance repairs/ emergencies. We have no record of an incident with a maintenance individual stealing or causing issues for this tenant or any others. We currently have not fired any maintenance for this area based on criminal background nor have we processed new hire for any maintenance with a criminal background. The maintenance that completes the repairs for this property is currently on schedule under multiple properties and operates as a floater for the local area. He has no record of criminal issues or history of tenant complaints on file regarding his demeanor, work, or professionalism. We at **** take the safety and concerns of our tenants very seriously and are welcome to fix the issues within the unit as soon as the tenant will reasonably provide access as she agreed to at the lease signing.

      I received an eviction notice from the company stating I owe them $878.00 for unpaid rent and that I have five days to pay them or vacate the premises. . I have an immaculate renters record with this company. I pay my rent on time and in full at the first of every month by money order. I keep all of my receipts. I have proof that I am currently fully paid up. I can't get anyone on the phone, I've sent e-mails, and even went to talk to the on-site manager. Nobody is listening. I am not the only tenant beset by this. There are many others in the same boat so to speak. We pay our bills and want to be treated respectfully instead of demanding payment from someone we don't owe money to. They refuse to communicate with us to try and resolve the situation, and I'm getting the feeling they don't care to. It's not right that people can do this to tenants who follow the rules.

      They threw all my personal belongings in th dumpter. And never contacted me saying they was going to that. They have been telling the neighbors all kimds of horrible things about me. Causing me to have to relocated to try and find work

      On August 19, we received notice from the utility company that Mrs. ***** had her utilities shut off for non-payment. We went to check the apartment for occupancy and tried to make contact with the tenant, we never heard back from Mrs. ****** On August 21, 2024 we issued an Abandonment notice to her, we posted it on the apt. door and put one in the us postal mail. This notice gave her 2 weeks to contact us and stated that we would store her belongings for 30 days before we would dispose of them. I have attached both of these notices to this response. The end of Sept. we proceeded to change the locks and posted notice on the door for the tenant to contact us, she failed to do so after multiple text messages trying to reach her. We continued to give her more time to contact us to retrieve her personal belongings through Sept. and Oct. In the first week of November, we began cleaning out the unit, so that we could get it rented out. I received a phone call from ******* a couple of weeks ago asking about her belongings, I told her that we have started disposing of things because we haven't heard from her, and that she should call the property manager. The final large items were just removed from the unit last week. She has not been back to her apartment since August, or she would see the notices that are still on the door.

      We have not spoken badly to anyone about Mrs. ****** but her neighbor did tell us that she has been back to the complex only a couple of times to check her mailbox but has not checked her apartment. We are closing

      My apartment has been flooded since last Monday. They wont move me, they have not come out to fix it. I have tried calling them since last Monday and they have done nothing. I have no heat.

      We have a vendor working on her heat now. As far as the water issues, we had our site Maintenace to fix the issue and he couldn't locate a problem, this goes to the city water department and two other vendors one being Roto-Rooter from *********** *********

There is still water just sitting around after I cleaned everything up. There is still property manager told me yesterday he was on the way at 2:19pm but never showed up and keeps forwarding my calls to voicemail.

      The gentleman who has been working on the **** unit is still working on getting it fix, and it will be fixed he has stated. We have called Roto-Rooter, they can't seem to locate any signs of a water leak. Along with the city water workers, our site Maintenace and one other vendor.

      This company is forcing me to move and has not provided me with any paperwork to support this. I&#**;ve had plumbing issues that haven&#**;t been addressed. It seems they play favorites with the tenants and treat certain people differently. I have not had hot water since March 2024 and have to shower at a neighbors home.

      The tenant had put in her 30 day notice to vacate by October 28th 2024. The hot water had been fixed multiple times. We have had multiple plumbers out there along with getting a new hot water heater, new thermostat, and the water heater rewired.

      I live in ******** apt since 2020 of September. First wanna say living here was great up until the last 7 months or so. Weve been through 3 apartment managers while here in that time frame. But I have had ***** issues since beginning of June and the bug guy is so unprofessional and rude. I didnt get sprayed now after preparing for 12 hours because I had an appliance on my counter. **** didnt give me a letter or what all needed done like she said she would before him coming, so didnt know I had to do that was told to take everything out of my kitchen cabinets which I did just not to get sprayed. So thats frustrating & secondly I have a 3 year ******* am also disabled myself so I have health concerns our health when it comes to the roaches being present have asked to move apartments to one that is open & got told once it wouldnt be an issue then told that they dont move people any longer. Also would like to point out how unsafe our decks around here truly are. Especially with someone who has a toddler. Ive also been waiting for about 6 months for someone to be here so I can remove someone from my lease voluntarily.

      I have reviewed the business' response and am rejecting it because: I talked to **** the maintenance man, the letter on the door that day did not tell us how to prepare for the bug guy. It stated he was coming and I did prepare for the bug guy I took everything out of my cabinets like **** told me the day Friday prior to him coming. I didnt get sprayed because I had my air fryer on my counter. That letter DID NOT say how to prepare for him. So try again. I still have that letter. I am going to be going other avenues If needed & someone at maco cant help me. All I get is rude people not wanting to help. & again cant be 100% prepared when nobody from you stated how that was to be done & obviously **** wasnt sure either. I did what he said cleared everything from my cabinets wiped everything down.

      So Ive been in a couple of these low income apartments and I feel its not accurate that these smoke detector are in the hallway, and bedroom but not in kitchen or living room. They are supposed to be 30 feet apart. I feel that is not very safe due to if their was a fire in kitchen or living room it would take a little bit to make the detector go off.

      Each unit has a smoke detector in the hallway and one in each bedroom. The smoke detector in the hallway covers the living room and the kitchens in each unit are equipped with fire stops.

      I had put in an application in at ************ apt in *********** mo and every time I called about my application she said she ran it and was waiting to hear back from maco management. Well come to find out the she ***** never ran my application nor gave me the money back for my background check. But in stead pushed me to another apartment in ****** mo which took them three months or so to get me in but Im not happy in Holden I wanted to be in garden city mo . I feel she is being. Discrimination or something thats why she didnt run my application but Ive seen people move out and new people move into ************ apts . Please help me

      When the tenant applied, we did not have any vacancies at that time, so we suggested the tenant apply for Holden Apartments where we did not have anyone on the waiting list at this time. The tenant is currently on the waiting list for Garden city, but her name has not made it to the top of the waiting list at this time.

      I've responded to this twice now.  I will get with staff and see what happen with police last night and go from there.  This is a 100 unit complex with multiple families in there.  We take these complaints very seriously and will get the report issued and see what we need to do.
