Purchased a 2009 Volkswagon CC for my son for $5000, on the first week of having it it's serpentine belt went out and after being replaced later that same day the Power Steering went out in the machine due to either a faulty control module or a issue with the rack and pinion. Took the vehicle to multiple shops and when codes were pulled for it it brought up multiple errors including a leak in the manifold and athe above mentioned Control Module. The Shop also informed me that there's no way it could have passed the inspection the seller took it to as it is lacking a exhaust possibly for holes, and I have reason to believe the inspector cut it off to get it to pass inspection.

    To whom it may concern,

The 2009 VW CC the consumer is referring to was sold with 0 known issues and was a as-is sale due to being a used motor vehicle with no warranty at all( see attached FTC Buyers guide signed by buyer). The serpentine belt was shredded the same week as the sale and as a courtesy to the buyer I paid to have it towed back to the dealership, bought a new belt and installed it so the buyer could continue on his trip to the lake that same day. ***** (BUYER) was very pleased and appreciative. After that weekend the father of ***** called and was yelling and cussing at me and telling me I do bad business because the cars power steering had quit. I asked him to bring it in and I would have my guys take a look. After that I didn't hear from him for a little bit and received another phone call of him cussing and yelling that two different shops have looked at it and was going to cost $3500-$4000 to fix and he wanted his money back. I explained that was not an option at this point but if he would bring the car in for my mechanic to assess I would be willing to work with him on price of repairs. As far as the inspection of the car it passed a Missouri state inspection just fine and has multiple mufflers still in place prior to these allegations.
