The incident was the first week of July 2022. I booked a three day stay online with the hotel. I used the hotel because at the time they advertised as "pet friendly". They did require a pet deposit as I was later informed. I paid the initial charge of around $300 for the three night stay and paid an additional $105 in cash to the hotel as a pet deposit. The staff at the hotel broken into my room and stole many valuable items. Most of the items were recovered by the police....but not all. During this break-in to my room. The staff also threw my pets out the third story window. I have sent multiple letters, emails and called both Wyndham and the actual hotel. No one will speak to me regarding this issue. I have been told to contact the owner of the hotel by Wyndham but they refuse to even take my complaint over the phone. Several staff were fired as they confessed to these acts. The hotel has not even refunded me my money for the stay during this horrible experience or the pet deposit. I am prepared to take them to court but hoped they would be willing to settle this outside of court. I don't know that this is the appropriate platform for this kind of neglect by this company but something needs to be done. The financial impact this has had on me is significant when you add all the time spent driving back and forth to the hotel to search for my pets as well as to the police department to collect belongings recovered, etc. To the time off work. I am shocked by the behavior of their staff and the cruelty they displayed to my pets by a place that boasts of their friendliness towards pets. The total lack of response to my repeated attempts to contact them is unbelievable.
