When I would call ************************* he would be on a call with warranty, hes sick, hes outside etc. this last time I would call for parts quote for a fuel pump and no call backs

Keep in mind when the 1989 ****** came to us no other place would work on it.   He knew that we were working on it when we could and it was going to take time. **************, service advisor informed the customer in the beginning that this is alot to take on and would be a lot of "trial and error" type of work.  Lack of parts and information are the 2 main delays due to the age and shape of the car. It is more of a project than a in and out sort of job. Anything that we would move or manipulate to diagnose or repair would break so It should have gone to a rebuilder/restoration type of shop and not a repair facility.  The repairs that were done on said vehicle were all approved by the customer at multiple stages during this process.  All the parts and labor that he paid for was needed and all the parts he paid for can be seen with many other repairs as we went. ***** was not aware he wanted the old parts returned to the customer He was never charged full mechanical rates and full parts pricing trying to help him out.  We tried multiple times to help with the repair process in as many ways as we could.

I am rejecting this response because: I took the car down the road and in a day the fuel pump was replaced with no issues. The car has an oil leak now that wasnt there until it went to pinegar. All gaskets are less than 2 yrs old. Pinegar is full of liars and awful to deal with

      Sincerely,

You are stating that there is an oil leak NOW which sounds like this had to happen after you took it to the other place down the road that you referred to;which would mean it could of happened there.  Again, we apologize for your frustration, but working on a 1989 ****** is very challenging. We did discuss this before we agreed to work on it, condition of the vehicle with rust on it and some corrosion; parts would be hard if even possible to find. Looking at our records, it was not in our shop for 10 months and as you know much of the time was spent on our employees searching for parts. We do our VERY best to satisfy customers, but we are not a shop that restores vehicles; which again we discussed, but wanted to try to help as much as we could, we hate that you were not satisfied with our efforts.  It does sound like from what you state taking it down the road you had no issues.  We are glad they were able to take care of you and you should continue your business there.

I am rejecting this response because: again you are having issues accepting responsibility. You were told about the oil leak when you had to tow my car back to the shop. The third time it had to come back to ya. Also the car was there 10 months. I picked the car up twice and both times a day later it would be down. Parts are easy to find for this car. It doesnt take rocket science to find the parts and get them shipped. The fuel pump was found and shipped less than a day. You guys are liars and dont care about your customers

      Sincerely,

Took vehicle to Pinegar in ******** to have it winterized and have it looked at because the lights and gas gauge were not functioning properly and check engine light was on. After having the vehicle for 4 days and charging me $3,554.60 when the vehicle was returned to me the lights, gas gauge, were all still not working, check engine light was still on and now the *** light was on. I took back to Pinegar and after another 4 days I was told that it was going to take at least another $3000 to repair because it was a separate issue from what was previously repaired. When I said no because it was supposed to be repaired the first time they had it they would not return my vehicle to me without paying $154 for the diagnostic test. Am I wrong or should this have been done the first time they had my vehicle and how do you know its a separate problem if it wasnt diagnosed the first time. I know I will not get my $3,554.60 back for the first time but I feel like they owe me a least the $154 diagnostic fee back since they didnt do the diagnostic on the issue the first four days they had my vehicle and then had it another four days to try to fleece me of another $3000.

      To whom it may concern,

In response to the first visit on 10/02/23:
There is no mention on the ** #***** of any check engine light, contrary to the customer's claim. Vehicle was brought in for fuel gauge not working (line A), and all gauges going in and out (line G).

$1,673.33 of the $3,554.60 went towards correcting the issues on lines A and G by replacing the fuel Pump Module Kit to include Level Sensor and Seal. The rest went towards various services to include oil change, right front window repair, transmission fluid exchange, fuel induction service, cooling system service, replace battery, and install a new set of tires.

      To whom it may concern,

The vehicle was delivered to the customer on 10/06/23. To my knowledge all discrepancies were corrected as there is no mention on the ** of inability to duplicate or correct the problems referenced on lines A and G.

On 10/17/23 ** #***** the customer returned with the following concerns:
A - fuel gauge reads erratically
      B- dash lights act erratically
C- Service engine and ABS lights are lit.

While lines A and B appear to be consistent with concerns A and G from the previous visit, the technician was unable to replicate the problems over a period of 6 days.

The check engine light (never mentioned on the ** from the previous visit), showed codes for the right rear ABS sensor, steering sensor, O2 sensor, and catalytic converter.

A diagnostic fee was not applied to concerns A or B but was applied to C due to the fact that this was all new concerns and not previously dealt with during the previous visit.

I have attached a copy of the repair orders.

      Sincerely,

In July 2020 my husband, ******* & I purchased a 2019 GMC Acadia from Pinegar. Three days later we returned to Pinegar to pick up ownership paper worker because Pinegar did not have the title when were purchased the vehicle. ******* took the paperwork to license bureau to have car licensed, pay for property tax, transfer plates from previous vehicle and have new vehicle titled. Two weeks later we received a rejection letter from State of Missouri, advising us we cannot title the vehicle due to the car already having a loan on it. Upon inspection of letter, ******* realized the wrong Vin # was listed. ******* contacted Pinegar and found out we received the wrong title, along with 6 others who purchased vehicles on the same day. Pinegar requested we sign paperwork to send back to State to clear up the issue. We received another rejection letter from State and again signed paperwork per Pinegar's request to resolve the issue. It has been over a year and a half and we still do not have a title for the GMC Acadia. Last week while driving with my 2 young children, the car began malfunctioning and I was barely able to make it back to my home. At first I thought it was another mechanical issue which I experience about a week after purchasing the car. The electrical system needed to be reset. We took the car to have Pinegar service the car but they did not have availability on their schedule to look into the issue. We took the car to a repair shop and found out the transmission needs to be replaced. The vehicle has less than 50000 miles on it and only 3 years old. After dealing with mechanical, title issues and now transmission we decided we wanted to trade the car once fixed. However we cannot do anything with vehicle since we still do not have the title. The car is unsafe to drive, Pinegar still has not fixed their mess up and will not provide a loaner vehicle. We want an end to this and just want our title without all of this back and forth run around. It been 1.5 years.

The customer is correct, there was an issue with the titles because the last 3 digits of the VINs were the same. This was brought to our attention and we were able to resolve this with the DMV. We had to have the paperwork updated and notarized and sent this back to the state. The other customer who was involved in the mix up tried to sign her title over to her daughter and we found out again that the state had printed the documents incorrectly. We had to get both customers back in to do the paperwork over again. I have been in contact with ***** ***********. We provided ***** and ******* with a dealer tag since this is not their fault and we do not want them getting a ticker. Right now we are awaiting on the state to contact us back with the appropriate paperwork. As far as the transmission issue, they went to another shop because they did not want to wait and we don't have the inventory to give out a loaner vehicle.
