After one month of driving my brand new 2023 vehicle it got a crack in the windshield. I was upset, but relieved that Republic Glass was able to get my windshield in the next day and install it.However, upon receiving my car on Thursday my rear view mirror was dangling and would not stay up before I even drove off the Republic Glass parking lot. My auto sensing windshield wipers also would not work. I walked right back in and was told to come back on Monday to get it fixed. When I returned on Monday I was informed that they would need to order a part for my rear view mirror and to come back on Wednesday. I was frustrated because if this was known, the part should have been ordered on the day my windshield was installed. I was also informed my auto sensing wipers would have to be recalibrated somewhere else. Many other shops do this themselves and if I would have known this I probably would have gone elsewhere.Once the needed part arrived and the gentleman went to fix my rearview mirror he said that it wasnt what he thought and he actually installed a faulty windshield, which was the issue all along. If he would have taken the time to find the issue instead of guessing, tons of time could have been saved! It really seems like he does not know what hes doing.My insurance is now allowing and advising me to go to another glass company because of the headache Republic Glass has put me through. They do not take their time to review their work or solve issues efficiently for their customers.The shop now fixing my windshield and mirror correctly informed me that Republic Glass severely scratched the paint around my windshield at the top and tried to cover it up with a piece of moulding. It is terrible to scratch paint and try to cover it up on a brand new car. My car will now be getting a repainted roof.

The problems with Mr. ******'s windshield were certainly out of the norm. The mirror clip did not appear to be broken when re-installed, however when brought to our attention, the part was ordered immediately. When the new clip arrived, it did not fit properly and upon further inspection and several phone calls to experts - it was determined the mounting bracket on the windshield itself was placed incorrectly. Manufacturer defect. We offered to replace the windshield again. We are a small shop and don't keep thousands of windshields in stock. We are at the mercy of our suppliers to get parts in a timely manner. The windshield wipers rarely need recalibrated on any vehicle - typically just cameras. Our shop does not have the equipment to recalibrate. This was another issue out of the norm. I know Mr. ******s (and his mother) are frustrated, but our shop did everything in our power to resolve the issue. In the end, the ******'s chose to go to another shop to finish the repair. We were never made aware of paint scratches.

Republic Glass did try to help me resolve the problem, yes. However, as stated I did ultimately decide (as advised by insurance) to let another shop finish the repairs. The shop I then took my car to is installing a whole new windshield, rearview mirror assembly, and recalibrating. This shop noticed the piece of moulding at the top of the windshield installed by Republic Glass appeared weird. While removing the windshield Republic Glass installed they uncovered paint scratches under that piece of moulding. This was never brought to my attention by Republic Glass. It appears they tried to cover up the paint scratches. I am just beyond frustrated because it seems Republic Glass tried to hide damage done to my car. If the other shop did not find the scratches, my brand new car would be rusting out in a couple of years. I would have never noticed the paint scratches myself as the windshield and moulding would have had to be removed to see them. I appreciate Republic Glass trying to correct their mistake and fix my mirror, however, trying to hide damage is unacceptable.
