I paid for dentures in advance per business requirements. While under sedation the doctor removing my teeth made comments about ***** build up on my teeth. The temporary dentures didn't fit and adjustments made it worse. Later on during the fitting stage for my finally dentures, my car broke down after my appointment. I was still at the office and let them know my car was not going to be running for a while. I called to see if I could be transferred to a location on bus line, since no bus goes from *********** to ********************, **. I was told that wasn't possible. I called back the next day and again told them my car was not running I had know to get out to the office every day and need to be able to go to a location in *********** via bus. Now that I have my car running again I'm being told that I forfeited the final dentures which are completely paid for and would have to pay all over again. Also that one of the employees or ex employees put notes in my account that I requested a refund. Which I did not do. I just want my teeth please.Initial Complaint

This is the 3rd time this denture has cracked I less than 2 years. This is Tuesday. I left a message at 10:45 am. Got a call at 1:45pm. I was asking for a Weds morning appointment since I was off. I was offered Thursday, which I sadly cannot make. I asked for Friday morning, and was then told no advanced appointments for repair. It is Tuesday? Thursday IS advanced. Why is it acceptable, but not Friday? And was put on hold for more than 5 minutes with no warning. When they can back on the line, they were still unhelpful, and condescending. I was told I was breaking the behavioral policy because I was asking questions. I was not rude, I was not cursing, I was not disrespectful, I was not yelling, I simply did not agree, and had the audacity to ask questions. I was being spoken over and denied any type of help. I was refused a manager or an owner, I was refused anyone else to speak ******* is a good thing this product came with a 3 year warranty. Now I know why a warranty was needed for this denture. My original denture had broken and that dentist had retired. It lasted over 7 years. I was looking for something fast, same day, quick turn around. Four days, later I had a denture that is adequate, but not a great fit and the bite is off, but more vacation time was not an option. I understand why they wont repair my existing denture, but there is not reason for the poor quality and breakage. As a patient, you are stuck, no other office will touch a denture they didn't make. They are completely inflexible in scheduling. Each type of appointment can only be made at certain times,period. There are signs EVERYWHERE, about being polite, not raising your voice, showing respect. I can completely understand where people would loose their patience or temper with this office. They loose all politeness as soon as they have your money, they are downright rude.Initial Complaint

I had dental implants done in August. after several weeks of pain and not being able to eat I returned to them to have my fitting for the Temp dentures. in September the implants started to fail. I made an appointment the soonest they could get me in was end of Oct. During that time 1 more of my implants had fallen out. They did exrays at that visit and the girl said you have bone loss. Shouldn't that have been caught before the initial surgery and $13000 Care credit paid out. I would not recommend this place now I am fighting with care credit to get my money back for a fail on the part of the dentist. Not its Jam and the remaining 4 implants he put in are coming out causing severe migraines and making it so I can't eat.I did everything they asked me to do. all I get on my review is that its my fault that their implants fell outInitial Complaint

I was fooled by some of the nice people and the cost and thought I was going to get a new set of dentures. Boy was I wrong. I have spent over $1500.00 for new dentures that still don't fit. When I got the impressions I almost cried in the chair because when she did the top it was digging into my top gum I told her it was hurting she said it would for just a few minutes. On my pick up appt the top didn't fit right at all and was hurting my mouth. They tried to make adjustments. Even the Manager did some adjustments. I told her before I left it was still hurting and way too loose she said my gums needs to adjust to the new fit. I thought she would be right since I had no reason to think otherwise. I was told I needed to use adhesives or upgrade to implants, since these don't fit well. Even if I used the adhesives the top plate still makes my gum bleed. I was not gone from the office 5 minutes and my gum started to bleed from the top plate digging into my gum. I called as soon as I got home to get another appt for a week later. I had an appt today to get it looked at and I was sent away because they said I was late. I have 2 emails showing my appt time and I was on time according to that. I was basically told to bad and rescheduled me. They treat me like this is my fault and they wont do anything about it. I have been wearing dentures for 15+ years so its not like I'm new to this. I even said today you can have these back and I want my money back (which is on the companies website a full refund) I was told by the very rude office manager that was not going to happen. The rude office manager was the same one that I had the last time and she was rude then too. I didn't do anything wrong but she treats me like I did. I have been very nice to everyone and have not given them any reason to treat me this way. If they just do a new impression and fix this it would be fine but I know she wont even do that by the way she talks.Business Response

Ms ******** states that she thought she was "going to get a new set of dentures...but boy was I wrong." However, in her very next sentence she states that she did in fact receive her new dentures. She then claims that they are loose and cutting her gums - when we delivered the dentures to her, however, there was NO evidence of any bleeding either inside her mouth or in the dentures. Additionally, she has not returned for any follow-up appointments; she is correct that she had an appointment scheduled on 12/11, but what she does not include is the fact that she arrived 30 minutes late for the appointment. She stated that she had a e-mail message showing that the appt was at the time she claimed it to be, but could not produce said e-mail when asked to do so. She subsequently cancelled another follow-up appointment after that, so she has not returned for any treatment since she received the dentures. Her claims of mistreatment are grossly unfounded, as she is the one who has not returned for any treatment! Furthermore, she states that she wanted a full refund, which was listed on the parent company's website - again, she is leaving out important pertinent information, that being here that there is a statement on the website that says that this is not available at all locations, of which we are one that does not offer a refund simply because she does not like the final product. I have reviewed the business' response and am rejecting it because:I did try and show them the 2 emails I have 1 confirming my appointment and the other is the reminder appointment. So I was not late for my appointment. Yes you are correct that my gums were not bleeding in the office as I stated. it didn't start until 5 to 10 minutes after I left. Yes I did have to reschedule my appointment this week because of an important thing i had to take care of at my work (which I said that when I called). I was told that the office was closed for the holidays and I do have a follow up in January. I'm just hoping they will fix this problem this time.I never said I didn't get the new dentures I just cant wear them because of the way they fit I can't wear them at all.

Terrible front desk! Paid in full for top dentures i never received. Bullied by 2 front desk "children " . No one else with authority was there. I'm 72 year's old and have never had the police called on me before. That's exactly what these " children " did. There is much more too much to type. I never received the dentures even though the office manager called to appolige and say they were in the mail? Mailing the dentures? How did she know they would fit? If not I wouldn't be able to go there because of the 2 children at the front desk calling the police and banning me front office! These 2 taunted me with word's like " would you like some coffee Miss ******* I think you need some coffee Miss ******* let me get you some coffee Miss ******** My name is ******* or Mrs ******** Not Miss ******** This could be border insanity on their part. I never received the dentures and I need my money to get top dentures from a " real " professional office. I have never seen any front desk that allows coffee to be drank there. Again of course no one with authority was there. Where's my refund from a service I never received? What kind of a scam is this? I also called corporate office. Haven't heard back from them either... This started in April. Wanted to be beautiful for my Granddaughters wedding in November. The office knew this because I was so excited. I had to use the temporary teeth instead and they are so loose not even denture adhesive works. I can't express the issues because of this. I can't eat anything remotely hard like toast etc. My jaw is starting to " pop " when opening my mouth. My gums are sore and they hurt now from trying to eat with no teeth. I never received my final dentures ,which were paid in full they wanted me to sign a paper saying i would accept them no matter if they fit correctly or not,i also paid for work to be done to my partial and it never fit correctly or could be worn,and all 4 implants are failing and i have to pay someone to remove them now which im looking for a refund for just what they didnt do and what they did do incorrectly i want refunded please,they claim it was a different ** at the time, but it was still affordable dentures and implants who took my money and never gave me final product,the reason im just now asking for a refund i was going to just deal with them being thieves until i ran across my periodontal infection due to failing implants which now i have to pay to have extracted and now have nothing to show for my $7616.0 spentInitial Complaint

I received implants in January 2024. It took several months to get them and any time I called with a question they never called me back. After I finally got the implants I was told to let them know if I had a problem or needed an adjustment. After having them 6 months I called for an adjustment and a repair as some filler had fallen out and there was a hole in one of them. I called a few times for an appointment and never got a call back (and always got a recording not a live person). After over a month I went into the office and I was reluctantly given an appointment with no explanation as to why they never called me back. Well, I need another adjustment and possibly a repair as one of the implants is tender to bite on. Its been over a month with no call back. Ive written to the corporate office with no response. In April of this year, 2024, I went to Affordable Dentures in ****, ** for the purpose of getting a new upper denture. While I was there I had X-Rays done and a mold of my upper teeth was taken. They offered to have me come back that Friday, however I was had an appointment that I had to be at and couldn't take that appointment. I was just going back to work after being off for Breast Cancer Surgery so I didn't want to miss too much work. When my schedule opened back up I called Affordable Dentures in ****, ** and left of message for them to call me. Since Tuesday, 08/27/2024, I have called many, many times to the ****, PA Office of Affordable Dentures and have left a message every time to please call me back. I took my daughter to the affordable dentures on **** ****** **** **. ******** ** ***** on November 2022 for dentures. She had to go through a series of procedures and I was told that it was going to be $4358. Which I paid $1465 on the 1st visit and $2698 on the second visit. But every time she had an appointment they would tell me I owed more money. Her last procedure was October 20 2023 and they stated once again that I owed $1600. I called my brother to do a payment over the phone. My brother was concerned about them still asking for money so he stated before he paid he would need a statement that said paid in full after payment was made. The receptionist then got upset and stated we can't do that and she didn't want to take a payment with him or me. I asked for their name and she wouldn't give it to me. They wouldn't let me speak to the manager. Instead, I was asked to leave. I called the police and he stated it that it is a civil matter. It's unfair that I spent all of this money and they wouldn't even see my daughter. They still have the teeth that I paid for.Business Response

Firstly, this complaint was not filed by the individual on whom the services were performed ****** ****), which in and of itself could be consider a violation of the federal HIPAA law and render this entire complaint invalid. With that being said, the patient's mother waived the right to privacy by voluntarily sharing her daughter's PHI (protected health information). In response to her complaint, Ms **** and her mother, who accompanied her to all of her appointments, were informed at the initial visit that our office policy is to pay for services as they are provided - we do not accept payment plans or deferred payments. Ms ******* incorrectly claims that she paid $1,465 and $2,698 at two separate visits - the attached ledger shows that this is untrue; they paid only the $2,698 on 1/23/23 at the time her dentures were fabricated. They did visit the office on 10/20/23, at which time they were informed that she would owe $1,660 for the remainder of her treatment that was to be performed that day. Ms ******* became very argumentative at this time, to the point that she called the police (of which a report can be given to you if so desired) because she thought she was being "ripped off." As she did not want to pay the balance of her treatment, there was none performed that day so there is no money to be refunded. She then goes on to claim that we "still have the teeth" that she paid for - this is wholly untrue, as the attached ledger also demonstrates that the dentures WERE in fact delivered to the patient on 1/27/23. As such, she received the product for which she paid and her daughter has been using for the past 9 months; again, there is no refund to be offered at this time on a functional prosthesis that has passed it's warranty period.Initial Complaint

Have been dealing with office for months to repair wife's implants. In 2 years, 5 teeth have fallen out. The bottom plate has snapped in two TWICE. Been trying to get in for weeks, wont return phone calls. Went in person today to try and work things out. Was told wife had beef DISMISSED as a patient, because she left a voice-mail threatening legal action if not responded to. Then they sent the police to my house to threaten ne with trespassing. Have called corporate office several times, no relief! We paid these folks $14,000 and were told that the three year warranty would take care of any issues. All lies! They refuse to honor their warranty. *****, the office manager has outright lied to my wife. Dr. ****** saw my wife's gums and did nothing to fix the issue. We're out this money pending litigation. Dear Better Business Bureau,
Thank you for allowing us to summarize this dispute. The office received the letter on October 18, 2023.
Please let me start by stating that ******* ******* is not a patient in this practice, and has never accompanied the actual patient, ******* ******* to any appointments in this practice. ******* ******* was initially a patient at the Affordable Dentures office in St. Louis. She had all of her teeth removed, implants placed and temporary dentures placed at that office by Dr. ****** in 2021.
In that same year, ******* decided that she was not happy with the treatment she received in the St Louis location, and asked to transfer to the St. Charles practice. At that time Dr. **** ***** was the practice owner. I have provided the documentation "ledger 2" to show what Mrs. ******* actually paid this Affordable practice for finalizing her work when Dr. ***** was here. $3,600 for the abutments, and the final dentures were written off. ******* has been in throughout the years for repairs and adjustments, in which all were honored and no charge to her under Dr. *****.
Since I have taken ownership of this practice August 2022, I have seen ******* for 2 repairs, which the warranty covered entirely, and to have the nylons replaced in her dentures, which falls under standard routine maintenance and are not covered under any warranty, She paid without complaint and left peacefully. Please see document labelled Ledger 1.
Days later I received an email from our corporate office that ******* was unhappy. When we reached out to ******* she stated that she wanted her dentures remade at no charge to her, that none of the Affordable practices can do good work and she would sue if not provided this immediately. We offered to provide ******* with a discounted new denture set, since she has been wearing this set for years there is a charge with a new set. This seems to be what has now set her and her husband off - they feel that they should have the dentures made at no charge and should actually be refunded all of the money that they paid to a different provider entirely. In that time, both ******* and her husband have shown up at the office without an appointment and proceeded berate and intimidate the staff at this office. They threaten law suits, BBB and bad reviews if we do not give them what they wish. The last time that Mr. ******* was here, he became verbally aggressive with the front desk staff to the point that they felt threatened and called the authorities. When the police arrived, they told Mr. ******* that he was not allowed to step foot in the office again or he would be arrested for trespassing, nor could picket outside the office or prevent other people from entering it. Our office does not tolerate bullying or boorish behavior; after this incidence, we dismissed ******* as a patient from this office.
In response to their request for a refund, refunds are only provided 100 days after a denture delivery; as such, there is not any refund to provide for completed services. Additionally, I was not the recipient of the payment they made for her implant placement, and the cost of the dentures was written off by Dr *****..
Thank you for trying get to the bottom of this unfortunate & scary matter. My staff has endured a lot of stress because of this and will be happy to put it behind us.
