    So I hired Efata and provided them with a down payment. There prep work was terrible. Efata ruined tile that I purchased and refused to take ownership of ruining the tile. I asked ******* to reimburse me for the damaged tile and he refuses to do so. They damaged the tile because of negligence and ineffective communication with his out sourced crew. Further more they used a dark gray mortar on bright white marble tile. They admitted they made a mistake in doing this and will still not cover the cost of this mistake. I have asked for a total of $500.00 to cover the cost of material and some labor which is very fair on my part but they still refuse to reimburse me. Because of this unethical behavior I am reporting *******, Efata flooring. I want my refund back in the amount of $500.00

    TERRIBLE QUALITY AVOID! I highly recommend reading the below review before hiring *******, Efata.******* should be ashamed of himself as he and his outsourced crew made many mistakes which cost me, easily, $500 in materials and (re)labor, but he's refusing to refund part of the deposit.- Used dark grey mortar with bright white marble tiles...turned marble grey. Come to find out this is a very well known thing to avoid with marble tile install.- Mistake, terrible prep, did not add reinforcement in various areas which would cause the tile to have no support behind it, be vulnerable to movement - Mistake, terrible prep, shower pan is very uneven from one side to the other. Even if built up with thinset, it's going to be uneven because it's so drastically uneven.- Mistake, terrible prep, contractor tore out previous tile and pulled the existing drywall (see pic). This caused a "hump" in the drywall where the bullnose tile would lay. The drywall is 1/2 inch higher - the wall is not flat.- Mistake, terrible prep, shower walls don't have consistent waterproofing - will cause leaks down the road - See the pics- notice that some of the screws and washers are not covered with mortar and tape? Notice how some of the screws are located at the shower floor?- Mistake, terrible communication, ******* refused to go over the details of this job before the job started. I emailed and texted him multiple times and he said we can go over the details when they start but this did not happen. ******* showed up and had no time to go over the details - I forced the dialog to go over the details but ******* does not give these details to the outsourced workers thoroughly.
