    We pay for a climate controlled unit. We had heavy rains lately. Three to four days AFTER the rain, we get a call from them saying we might want to check out our unit, because a few people mentioned they had some water in their unit. I went to find items soaked in my unit. My deceased mother's wedding dress was in a box and then in a bag, and all of it was completely soaked. Other boxes that were completely soaked only had china in them which can be cleaned clean. I had a cedar chest in the unit that has been wet on the bottom and soaking up water. Other people had much worse damage. I asked for them to cover the cost of dry cleaning the wedding dress, and possible needed cleaning/repairs to the cedar chest and they denied any wrong doing and won't pay for anything. We hadn't even had the unit for three months and also found mouse droppings on our belongings. I had another unit years ago for eight years and never found mouse droppings. The only reply from them, four days after my email, was "Unfortunately, flooding, rodents and vermin are not covered under the rental agreement." They don't care. I would understand flooding not being covered - IF they had done the proper thing and had notified us immediately, instead of letting our items soak up more water for three days.
