On the 18th of April I went to a business for a headliner on my mini van.  They called me and said that my headliner was done and I would need to give them 365 dollars. I called Ace Cab company to come and get me from the address of *** ****** ***** ** ****** ** *****. I had 365 dollars in my purse for the event I was attending and plus 13 dollars for the cab fare tip. The taxi came and I asked him if he would wait until I was sure I wanted to stay. He said he would wait for me and I paid him his tip of 13 dollars. I gave the driver the fare tip but later realized  I had mistakenly handed him an extra 100 dollars I had that fell out of my purse when I went to tip him.  The event I went to helped to lay all of my money out on the table to confirm that I was 100 dollars short, and I was.  So I had to write them a check for the remaining 100 dollars. I called the cab company and explained that the driver has my 100 dollars which was mixed in with the tip I was going to give him. I made it clear when I called the company and told them I gave the driver 13 dollars for a tip but I gave him an extra 100 dollars by mistake.. The cab company immediately told me that I must have lost it which is not true.  They didn't bother to investigate or even attempt to help me resolve the issue.  I am a widow and I am on a fixed income. It is extremely sad this company has benefited off the misfortune of others.

    Business Response

    Date: 05/12/2023

Customer has called and made numerous complaints.  We had driver on the phone while talking to the Customer and then she stated that she dropped the money on the floor.  The driver picked up other customers after Ms. ******.  When she initially called she was concerned if she would have enough money to cover the trip.  Also we have camera in the van as well and it takes snippets of seconds and we did not see any verification of what she claimed.
