I signed up with RSI on October 18, 2017, where they guaranteed they could get me out of my Time Share with Celebrity Resorts within 12-18 months or my money back. I paid them $5995.00 up front. I also paid an additional termination fee of $1200.00 to RSI a few months later, as they said it was required. Initially I heard from RSI every couple months, saying they were working with my resort. It got to the point that they this was always the answer they provided. On 12-31-2019 (two years later), I called the attorney directly, and they said the resort was not very willing to work with them, and that the resort stated I knew what I was getting in to, and that the resort didn't like to work with attorneys. Fast forward to 05-20-2020. I received a letter from Nealy Law saying they were closing their office and that they agreed to work for a $500.00 fee per contract. On 06-17-2020, I spoke to RSI about this letter, and they said they had a new, more aggressive attorney, and that I needed to pay another $600.00 for this new attorney to do anything. In April 2021, after I checked again with RSI for an update; they said the resort told them I needed to contact them directly. I did so, and was able to terminate my timeshare on my own. I asked RSI for my refund, and they refused, saying they told me to contact the resort, and that was helping me. I finally received my timeshare termination confirmation documents as of 11-23-2021, more than 4 years after contracting with RSI. They did nothing to help me. I am requesting a full refund of $5995 + $1200 + $600 that I paid them for this service on which they did not deliver. It is my hope that you can help me recover the amounts I paid. RSI strung me along for 3.5 years, and probably had no intention of helping me. Meanwhile, I kept my maintenance payments to the resort current. I have attached my contract with RSI, along with the letter from Nealy Law, and some additional notes I took. Please respond.Business response

Good Afternoon, Mr. and Mrs. ******'s timeshare has been successfully terminated with the legal teams assistance. The legal affiliate who was in negotiations with their resort advised the clients on what they are needing to do to get the termination of ownership completed. Mr. ****** was also advised by the Law firm to keep them updated on the final steps of the process so they can continue to assist them and make sure everything was done successfully. Due to the work of the legal team, the clients were offered a release of ownership and therefore does not entitle them to a refund.Customer response

I am rejecting this response because:The legal team did absolutely nothing in my behalf. After repeated attempts to get a status, and even calls to the lawyer, they did not manage to get my timeshare terminated. I contacted the resort on my own and started the process from the beginning through completion, WITHOUT the help of RSI or their legal team. I did advise them I had taken care of it on my own, after they called to give me an update.

As state before in our previous response to your office, The legal affiliate , who was working on their case instructed the clients on the steps needed to achieve a successful termination of ownership. The clients were aware that the legal team would assist them through the release as well as assist them in the release process with their timeshare. We are happy to hear that-the clients are now timeshare free and this burden has been taken off their hands. We stand behind our legal teams efforts in assisting the clients in a successful release and the fulfillment of the contract they signed with RSI.Customer response

I am rejecting this response because:Although they told me to work directly with the resort, they and their legal team did not do anything to assist with all the paperwork, etc. that was needed to terminate the timeshare. All correspondence with the resort from this time on was done by me, personally. The bottom line is this.... it was over 4 years before RSI provided any information to terminate my timeshare, which in my mind violates the term of the contract. The contract clearly states, "RSI guarantees that our contractual obligation to the resort will be cancelled, or all monies paid for these services will be refunded within 10 business days. The process typically takes 12-18 months to be completed".
The process took 49 months to complete, way longer than they represented. I feel that is above and beyond the terms of the contract I signed with them. RSI is already being heavily investigated for fraudulent representation, and has an "F" rating with the BBB. It would be in their best interest to make good on their guarantees and promises.
I still feel I am entitled to a full refund.

This letter is to give you notice that I am cancelling my contract with Relief Solutions International which was the sole purpose of securing termination of my Timeshare Agreement with Casa Blanca Resort, Panama City, FL. This agreement was entered with your company on November 16, 2016. I quote the following terms from the contract: "I/We understand that Relief Solutions International guarantees that my/our contractual obligation to the resort will be cancelled, or all monies paid for these services will be refunded within 10 business days. The process typically takes 12-18 months to be completed." Five (5) years have elapsed with no Exit Agreement in hand and no status reports indicating when, or if, terminatino of my Timeshare Contract will ever be secured. To date I have paid you Four Tousand Five Hundred Ninety-Five Dollars ($4,595.00) to fulfill your obligation to obtain release from my Timeshare Contract with Casa Blanca Resort, and your company has failed entirely. You have misrepresented to me your ability to carry out the terms of the contract I entered into with your company. This constitutes fraud. I am hereby respectfully requesting refund of the full amount of Four Thousand Five Hundred Ninety-Five Dollars ($4595.00) which I have paid in good faith to your company.Business response

Mrs. ***** file is currently with our legal affiliate who provided a update to our office on 1/17/2022 stating "The firm is waiting on a response from the resort regarding hardship.We have emailed the resort to follow up on our request and will continue to work on their case until we reach a release". We attempted to reach the client to provide them with the latest update and were unsuccessful. We encourage them to contact our customer service department to speak to their casefile manager so we may continue to provide updates as well as answer any questions-they may have. RSI cannot give a guaranteed timeframe due to the ever changing rules and regulations the timeshare puts in place for any owner who request to release them. Our affiliate will be working diligently to achieve a successful release for Mrs. Wade and will provide update as we progress.

I hired this company to get me out of my Timeshare in 2017, they told me they would have the transaction completed within one year, which has not happened. They have given one excuse after another, and putting me through a lot of loop holes and paying their attorney even more money.Business response

Good Afternoon, We attempted to reach out to Mrs. ***** to provide her with a update on 11/24/2021 and again on 12/1/2021 and was unsuccessful . Their case is with our legal affiliate who stated that they are currently reviewing the clients summery and continuing the negotiations with her resort to reach a successful termination of ownership. We encourage Mrs. ***** to contact our customer service department and speak to their case file manager if they have any additional questions regarding their case.
