    On May 27 my family went to visit my mother ************************* grave sight. On arrival we notice that there was no headstone over here grave and ot appeared that other ****** stones where in its place. On may 28 I went up to Laurel Hill Cemetery and notified them of this situation it was after9am. Was told that person who handles this will contact me later. That never happened. I called them back around 230 again was told I would receive call. No was done. Now it's the 29 called again 9am ,I was told again that person handling this problem would contact me. Waited, no call call at 330 no one answered my call at all. I believe they are giving me the run to what happened to my mom's head stone. I believe they removed it and placed other headstones there in its place. This part of the cemetery has the look of being unkempt. Other head stone where out of place are just disarray. I'm very distraught about this and the handling of this manner

    In response to the customers complaint I do apologize for not calling her back. The headstone for ************************* was not moved in anyway, due to the gravesite being close to a tree line there were leaves covering the stone. Attached is a photo of the headstone. I have placed a work order for our groundskeepers to attend to the area and push the tree line back to prevent this happening in the future.

    I am writing to file a complaint against ****** **** Cemetery regarding a tombstone. The Cemetery supplied the incorrect date on the invoice that approved. I was very certain that the information was correct given that I had entrusted them with my beloved Aunt remains and everything was correct, even though I verified this personally. I have been informed that I am required to pay for the rectification of this mistake, which I believe is unfair and unjust. On 1-23-2024 I discovered that the date was incorrect on ******* D. ********* tombstone. After conducting my own research and verifying the correct date, I found the mistake was made by ****** **** Cemetery, as it was supplied from their own file. I believe it is the responsibility of the Cemetery to ensure the accuracy of the correct information is given to the family during the difficult time of their lost. It is very disappointing that I am being asked to bear the financial burden for their mistake. I have attempted to resolve the issue directly with the Cemetery, but they have insisted that I must pay for the correction. This not only places an unnecessary financial burdening me, but it also raises concerns about the cemetery's commitment to customer satisfaction and their responsibility to rectify errors made on their behalf. I kindly request your assistance in mediating this matter and a fair resolution. I believe that ****** **** should take full responsibility for the mistake and cover the cost of rectifying it. Thank You for your attention in this matter and I look forward to hearing something in the near future. ****** *********

    In response to Ms. *********. Our protocol during every headstone sale is to stress to the family that they check name dates and spelling of the loved one’s memorial. In the memorial contract it specifically states, “By signing this approval, I assume complete responsibility for layout/Spelling/Dates.” Ms. ********* signed our contract approving of all layout spelling name and dates. We are offering a very reduced cost to rectify this issue.

    I am rejecting this response because:

    I was told that they were giving this information by someone when they got the company from another vendor ( Lake St.Charles Cemetery) . I still don’t feel that there is know known knowledge of me giving them an incorrect date when this was done by them. Because I signed a contract that was supposed to be correct in the beginning. I was working with several people and if someone at the cemetery made a mistake honor it and we should move on. I entrusted them with my correct information hoping they would be accurate.

    My brother is buried here and he is buried in Resurrection Garden. We do no know what the Lot# is . My brother's name is ******* ****** **********  When we visit his burial site it is an eye sore, we have to fight weeds, bushes, and fighting bugs. We have expressed a compliant with someone by the name of ***. She has promised to take those weeds out over the winter., and it has not happened as of yet. Today I spoke with someone I believe to be a owner or upper management about the appearance of my brothers gravesite and how I will be reporting this, and that person stated "Please do". The rest of the cemetery looks immaculate and my brothers grave looks like the lost and forgotten. We have paid for him to be here and this is not acceptable. We would like for his grave to look distant just like everyone else's, do not neglect the site due to him being buried in the back.

    We have reviewed the complaint and the grave location.  Attached is a photo of Mr. *********'s grave and headstone.

    We dispute the assertion that the gravesite is an eye sore, and that the family has to fight weeds and bushes.  It is our understanding that the complainant does not like the fact that Mr. ********* is interred next to a tree line.  Unfortunately, there is nothing we can do about that.  We have many graves near tree lines as do most cemeteries.  We will continue to trim back the bushes so that they do not go over Mr. *********'s grave.

    Concerning the bugs, this is something out of our control.  When we inspected the grave yesterday bugs were not visible.  We suggest that the family take yard guard or bug spray with them if certain times of the year the bugs are heavy.  We don't really know what "fighting bugs" are.

    Concerning Mr. *********'s grave being decent and well kept, it is kept just like the rest of the cemetery.  We have no reason not to do so. 

    Concerning the complainant's visit to our office, we suggest that she doesn't come into our office angry, accusatory and threatening.  Bringing that chaos into our office is not necessary or wanted.  Bringing some kindness would be much better.  We understand that she is not happy with the location that Mr. ********* is interred.  But throwing out false statements about it's appearance is not called for.

    My wife; ****** ********* mother is buried at Laurel Hill Memorial Gardens. The level of disrespect that my wife and her family has experienced from this company is off the scale. Our family had to endure the pain of an unexpected lost of our beloved mother, now we have to endure the pain of trying to honor our mother thwarted by the owners and staff of Laurel Hill Memorial Gardens. I watched Laurel Hill Gardens botch the burial of my mother in law and now seemingly intentionally delaying the family from honoring our beloved mother, by withholding her memorial headstone. At the least family should receive nothing short of a full refund for all services purchased and performed by Laurel Hill Memorial Gardens and an apology for the continued disrespect of our beloved mother.

    We are sorry Mr. ********* feels disrespected. That is never our intention for any of the families that we serve. We do have an estimated delivery date for his mother-in-law's headstone, January 27, 2023.

    We do understand Mr. *********'s frustration, we can say that most if not all of the delays have been out of our control. From the services in which the ***** companies truck ran out of gas delaying the services, to the following timeline for his mother-in-law's headstone: (Please see attachment)

    Our apologies again to Mr. *********. As soon as it arrives and the balance is paid we will place the headstone out at his mother-in-law's grave and notify him.

    I ordered my husband's headstone, paid in full in April, months go by so I called to check the status. They say the photo I provided wouldn't work. No one contacted me about this. I send a new pic 7/7/22 & followed up with several calls specifically about if new pic works. Got excuses. I call today and the lady says they're missing a picture. I'm getting the run around. On top of this the staff continues to address me by my maiden name. I'm disappointed by the entire process.
