Landmark Interior Signed Contract to finish our basement. Completion date 14 April. ****** *******. Refuses to refund us Email sent to contractor describes current situation. When you left on February 18th you stated that the work would be started the following week and was the only reason that payment was made. Have you paid the electrician, plumber and framer in full; out of the $19,210 that you received as part of their payment owed in accordance with the contract? Since they are subcontractors/workers for you and payment was made to you in full for the work listed on the contract. There is only one way to resolve this matter and that is if you refund us the $5,000 check #458 plus $1,700 from check number 459 for upgrades that were not started: the step lights and the poured concrete shower pan; has well as have your subcontractors come back and complete their work! If the subcontractors are not available to complete the work you will owe us $11,500 Breakdown below $ 1700 Upgrades Never Started $ 3300 Complete Electrical Work $ 5000 Drywall/Installation Never Started $ 800 Complete Plumbing $ 700 Complete Framing $11,500 Total All work not completed by Landmark Interior LLC wil have to be completed by the new contractor. We are handling this with a payment plan.

    Customer Answer

    Date: 06/04/2022

We emailed landmark interior to try and meet in the middle asking to refund us $8000 instead of 11,500 then walking to reply that they would only pay us $6000 we even offered a payment plan on the $8000 if they could not paying for $1000 every two weeks starting May 27th.

We did not receive $1000 payment on the 27th and he did not agree to refund us $8000 discounted offer.  The  work that was never started it was the drywall and installation and the stair lights and the additional electrical work which total of $6700 he was paid for that in Full also not to mention that the Electric plumbing and framing was paid in full to be completed however it was only done through roughing and no one ever came back to complete the work

This has been going on since February 18 this contractor has made no effort whatsoever to take accountability for the unfinished work and bridging the contract now we have paid out an additional 3300 to electrician to come and finish the work at his electrician did not complete an additional 1700 for plumbing and framing and stair lights that have not been done by landmark interior we are paying double I have the emails I have the text messages.I have all of the receipts that we paid in accordance with his invoice yes we offered a payment plan but we should not have had to offer a payment plan for money that he has kept for now for months interest free and for work that was not complete.

Very Unprofessional contractor.  We have done everything can to try and work with Landmark Interior, but have been given the run around and nothing but excuses.  No accountability
