  I own a house in Affton Mo. The house has the original concrete from 1956. It's cracked in many places including the drive way. I'm disabled an use a wheelchair fulltime, when I bought the house in 2010 I was ambulatory using a regular two wheeled walker. But there is a 9 inch step down to my back patio. I was able to step down without a problem. I was able to Traverse the step for years but my health is going downhill so now I'm in a wheelchair full time. THE WHOLE POINT OF REPLACING THE CONCRETE IN THE BACK DOOR IS SO i CAN GO OUTSIDE USING MY WHEELCHAIR. I specifically told *** that I need a smooth transition from my back door to the patio. Well when the work was done that was not done. There is a 1 1/2 bump going out to the patio. The front wheels are 4 inches so I'm not able to get out. here are multiple cracks on the driveway and on the patio. I sent the pics to Tim. then he said it's not his fault and wrote another estimate to fix the driveway! He said "it's not my fault" which is laughable. The whole point of this project is to make it able for me to be able to go outside in my backyard patio. The driveway was done because I wanted everything to match. He also replaced the front porch. no I'm hesitant on paying for custom railings to be put back on my front porch because of the shoddy work the company did on the patio and driveway. When the work was done I was so happy to go outside but then my wife told me there was a bump there and my wheelchair couldn't make it past the bump. I told *** specifically that I needed to go out to the back patio I need a smooth bump free transition but that was not done. and to top it all off he wants $3,370 to fix the crack in the driveway. But then I've bitched about the price and said he'll do it for half at $1685.00. But he said it's "not my fault". But then why did he write an additional estimate for 1685 dollars to to replace the slab that it cracked if "it's not my fault". There is also a crack in the rear patio.

  I would like to respond to the homeowners customer review on 5/18/******** project was visited and bid in August, 2022. We discussed the many options of making mobility easier for the homeowner as he is required to use a ******. We talked about the patio in the backyard. He expressed that he would like to keep a step at the door that his father had fabricated. I told him we would be happy to take care of this request as it seemed to have sentimental value to him. In his review he mentions a bump. Im not sure what this is referring to. I went to the property and the homeowner showed me the items he would like me to be made aware of and this was not one that I can recall.Here is what is included on our contracts in reference to cracks. Unfortunately, we cannot guarantee concrete against cracks. NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR CRACKS AND/OR DAMAGE DUE TO WINTER DE-ICERS OR CHEMICALS, GROUND SETTLEMENT, ACCIDENTS, ACTS OF GOD OR DAMAGE TO UNMARKED IRRIGATION OR SPRINKLER SYSTEMS.Upon completion we were under the impression the homeowner was very happy with the outcome of the work which was done according to the Scope of Work on the signed and dated contract, in which we received payment within a few days of sending the statement to the homeowner. We prepared an estimate on 4/11/2023 for the driveway slab that he was referring to in his review. We will replace the slab and as a compromise will pay half of the cost.
