Project manager took money and never returned to finish the job. Basement remodel that has lasted over a year and is still not complete. Do not work with this group, they will not complete the job and demand full payment before work is completed.

Do not contract with Archview Construction for home remodeling work. ***** proved himself to be an incompetent project manager and was incapable and unwilling to complete the work under our contract to remodel our kitchen. We were told our project would take 6-7 weeks. Due to his poor planning, in the first 9 weeks of the project there were 26 days where there was absolutely no work done. He does not have a bench of people available to work for him. He bumped our project for other projects, presumably because he could get paid faster, but he shouldn’t have demolished our kitchen if he wasn’t ready to put it back together. We had issues with getting the mud/tape done right. Found out later that much of the electrical was done wrong. ***** couldn’t bother to come to the house to see that work was being done right, or possibly doesn’t know what to look for. He demands payment for milestones before they are fully met. Threatened legal action and a lien against our house instead of accepting partial payment and working out a plan to finish the work. ***** wanted to end the contract and not finish his work. We could have sued him for breach of contract. However, I ended up paying ***** most of the payment (more than he deserved) for the milestone and released him from finishing the work mostly because he has caused our family such an extreme amount of stress. There were more problems, but this review is long enough and should provide you with enough detail to know not to work with Archview. Three months into the project we are just settling with ***** and the work is still not complete. It will be much less stressful though completing it without Archview involved. ***** will likely say that I am bitter and vengeful. But what should I have to be bitter or vengeful about if my kitchen were done right and in a timely manner? It seems like *****’s business is tanking and he is so desperate for money that I think he has lost any integrity he may have once had.

Started master bath remodel March 22, 2022. Was told it would take a month. Never knew when they would show up to work, because main worker, was a fire fighter, which was not shared with us. Made excuse after excuse why they could not come. ***** was accidentally paid $500.00 too much and it took over a month of asking to get it back. Terrible communication the entire time. Grout was different colors, some places grout was thick, other places thin, tiles were jagged, plumber made hole in new flexible pipe and repaired instead of replacing, constructed vanity wrong when didnt put makeup section lower, never secured toilet, did not finish trim on vanity or on wall, and kept telling me we were too picky, that it looked great. Two other contractors came out to look at grout issues and found the floor not level, vanity not level, dip in tub deck, tub faucets put too far from tub, poor tile work and grout already cracking. Both said bathroom needed to be gutted. I asked for a refund of $8000.00 so I could hire someone else to correct some of the issues and was told no. After weeks of no response from Archview, they said the grout issue was not theirs but they would replace it, which they did after a 6 week wait. Having to come back with razor blades to clean residue off of tile because it was not wiped off correctly. Then had to come back again to clean residue on floor tile because it also wasnt cleaned correctly. Owner of Archview came to my home to apologize and made a verbal agreement to refund me $3,000.00. He promised to bring by a promissory note and three post dated checked for $1,000.00 to be paid over three months the next day. He has not done that and it has been two weeks. He will not respond to text or email. He now claims he does not owe me any money. I would not recommend this company for anything. This project drug on for 6 months. On top of poor workmanship, the owner of Archview has no integrity and can not be trusted to keep his word.

@ArchviewConstructionInc I am not one to not one to get in the mud" with someone publicly. Our customers' comments are shamefully inaccurate stating it as delicately as I possibly can. There is much that I could say but I do not feel it would be professional to do so. For the first time I cannot fully abide completely with my best intentions of utter professionalism. My response is professional but I do need to share some things to complete a full picture. We build for our customers with the utmost care and pride. At the end of the day, we take care of our customers, always. I am proud of my company and are people in particular who have each taken a very big part in creating such a long list of happy customers and a large gallery of work to display. I will be the first to admit that we experienced some difficulty scheduling leading to unwanted delays and some issues that really turned in to non-issues. A particularly confounding issue involved the grout and exactly how we would resolve what was a truly pervasive grout discoloration affecting all areas of the bathroom. Putting that aside for the moment, Archview returned and removed all grout, installed new grout and made ALL such other improvements that the customer requested and/or we felt needed to be done as prideful professionals. The bathroom looks incredible. Thats not like me to say, but it honestly does. It is important to note that the delay we and they experienced was subsequent to our providing a working bathroom to enjoy. I acknowledged that there were issues albeit minor outside of the grout (that were on our own list as well). Again, we took care of "everything" that they asked for. We build for our customers with the utmost care and pride. Still, I am human, and I make mistakes. Our people do as well. In this way, we are surely no different than anyone else. But rest assured at the end of the day we take care of our customers. We did exactly that here. I believe the photos included show the craftsmanship and attention to detail that we pride ourselves speak to this in volumes. In any case, it did not seem that my most sincere and genuine apologies were falling on anything less than deaf ears. What did they want? Money. At this point, I truly considered offering a rebate. There wasnt a whole lot left to do. HOWEVER,I learned that evening after all my apologies, that the customer had said that notwithstanding anything I said or offered or contemplated offering, he was going to put Archview out of business. This is a quote to someone whom I trust implicitly and have known for many years. Almost simultaneous with my hearing this, they engaged another contractor and unleashed a volley of threats This completed the picture for me. Everything had come full circle. At this point like anyone, I was done. Why on earth would I attempt any further acts of kindness after learning of all this? To say that we did not take care of everything on their list is dishonest. We made good on "everything" that they asked for and left nothing compromised or wanting in their conversations with us. We build for our customers with the utmost care and pride. Again, I believe the photos included show the craftsmanship and attention to detail that we pride ourselves in and will tell you most all that you need to know.To see these pictures please visit Archview Construction, Inc. on ******** ****************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************
