If we use 73 dollars of electricity per month that doesn't give them the right to charge us 2.5x that amount (184). this is monopoly at is finest it need to be delt with they keep raising the rates and adding more and more bs we Boston party's over 2% of tea. This is a the biggest scam in our country there needs to be laws to made to stop this gougingAmeren

1 starAI secretary is worthless. Spoke to 3 separate employees all with different information given to me and none were able to process a payment. AI bot was not able get me to proper screen and spent nearly an hour trying to pay a bill over the phone. Have had similar problems paying online and generally have found the company representatives to be helpless and inept. Runs a monopoly in my area and robs from every customer by charging peak usage rates for watt usage. Needs to be dismantled and better solution replaced. Spoke to them ********************************************************************************** seen any action taken. Employees refused to give id # or any thing with verification for themselves and would not allow a conversation with supervisor or manager. Expecting a call back within 24 hours and doubt they can execute that. Again monopoly with **************** and no options as a consumer and needs to be removed from ********* area and many more. They are very slow with their responsiveness. I am forced to use this company and I am upset about it. It has taken them a week and a half to hook up my electric and as it sits it may be another 1 to 3 business days before I have electric. Where I live, if there is no electric there is no water. The customer service representatives are rude and unkind to customers. The construction crew is slow and they have to send too many different people out to get things done. If I could choose another company, I would switch.Ameren

Forced to use this horrible company. Some how the bill is always extremely high when no one is home for long periods of time and everything is unplugged. There is always an outage which is very inconvenient and they could atleast give a credit whenever they inconvenience the customer with all these outages on multiple occasions especially since if you just bought groceries the same day the outage occurred but before the outage so how could you know now you waisted money on food thats going bad, and you off work expecting your power to work on your off day so you can enjoy being home the place you pay all your bills for and takes all your hard earned money, and youre barely at since you always at work, but cant even do that crazy how the power works when you at work but when you at home its always an outage ameren really need to do a lot of updating there is no reason to have all these outages especially on days when its not even storming. Now my whole off day is gone in this economy the only thing I can afford to do on my off day is watch tv for entertainment to relax especially when being on my feet 12 plus hours and dealing with people all day but now I have to go back to work and the only thing I could do was sit in the dark and waist the day away cant even cook a nice meal to enjoy cant afford to eat out so just gone starve and sit in the dark after a long week of work on the only day you get to yourself out the week before you have to go back to being miserable until the next off day.Ameren

This is not about a power bill. It's about being human. Ameren has accused me of stealing from them. Not only is this untrue, what they are accusing me of stealing is worthless. There are copper clad, steal cables used as ground wires on some telephone poles behind one of their substations. The service road for these poles is used by people to dump stuff it seems, judging by all the junk back there. Our cat likes running back there and playing with the strays. The cops showed up and arrested me and trespassed me from the service road due to ameren calling them.saying the people behind the substation are stealing their ground wires. Those wires have been gone since before we started looking for our cat back there. People go back there all the time and dump stuff, not us. We are being harassed by the local sheriff's department over this. They truly believe we are guilty. There are ground rods 5/8" thick laying on the ground that are 10' long that are the same as the wires I'm being accused of stealing. Why wouldn't I take those instead? Said they have a video of me stealing these cables. I don't care what you have a video of, you don't have one of me stealing anything from anyone. Period. Things are difficult enough right now and this is what you do? I defended you over the rate hike. Have sided with you over the Rush Island nonsense and this? I don't owe you a late bill. What is going on? This has already cost me hundreds.Ameren

Ameren is a monopoly that takes advantage of the people in its service area. My power was out for over 24hrs on the coldest night of the year with no explanations as to what caused it or when it would be fixed. Ameren is the sole energy company in my area and I am forced to be a customer of theirs,Ameren

I truly feel like Ameren MO lies on ****s and use local temperatures to do so. Reason why I say that is because I live alone. Im someone who doesnt like it hot in my house. November and December my father was in the hospital dying. I was gone from my home every day from 6am to 11pm. Turned everything off in the house including the thermostat. Came home to shower and get a few hours of sleep that was it. But somehow my electric **** increased to over $200. Each **** said in increased due to heating costs. But I wasnt home or had my heater turned on. When you talk to Ameren the customer service is rude and dismissive. You cant trust them but you cant argue with them either. Anyone else knows that they dont use much power and seem to have random huge increases on their ****s?Ameren

1 starFor the past 2-4 months, I've pressed "1" to take **************** Survey, only to get the recording: "thank you for agreeing to participate. Unfortunately the survey is not available at this time." What a Disservice to their employees, & a waste of time to their customers. We began in AUGUST to get electricity to new construction. We were continually told "we'll be out in 2 weeks" or "We'll be there in 3 weeks." It took 3 months to set poles and a transformer. Then the County provided an occupancy permit and the County contacted Ameren to say we were ready for power. Monday November 25, 2024. My husband called them on Monday, December 2, 2024. Ameren claimed that they never heard from the County. The proclaimed we would definitely have power by the end of the week. Now it's Thursday and they just informed we'll have power Monday.Unfortunately, it's a monopoly and we cannot get our electricity from anyone else. If Ameren had competition, they would either provide better services or they would go out of business. Working with them has been horrible and maddening. They are lazy, dishonest and inefficient.Ameren
