    I had a service dispute with them and they handled it very poorly. We had a breaker flip in our fuse box which their tech said was from the A/C. He cleaned the unit and said nothing was wrong with it and if the breaker flippied again in was an electrical issue and they don't do electric so we should call an electrician. Well, breaker flipped again 3 days later and called ******* ******** as they do electrical. They came out, found issues with the A/C and repaired it. When I called Richardson back to request a refund on the service that his tech did not complete they said I should have called them back? When I explained the tech advised us to call an electrian not them, they became furious and said there would be no refund and if I told anyone about this they would sue me because they've done it before. Believe me, I always do business with the mom and pops whenever possible, but this is rediculous! Shop around!

    Service was provided. The technician noticed the air conditioner was very dirty which he believed could have been the cause of the breaker tripping. The technician cleaned the condenser, reset the breaker and tested the electrical components of the condenser to assure proper function noting that no high amperage was detected after cleaning. After testing the system and determining that it was running correctly, the technician ended the service call. Richardson Heating and Cooling received no notification from the customer that the system was not operating correctly after the technician left. We have a 30-day call back policy if there are any issues with the service provided. Richardson Heating and Cooling will not charge a service fee to return and re-evaluate service provided in order to assure proper repair within the 30-day ***** period.Original Service Date: 6/6/23 Refund Requested: 7/31/23 Invoice amount: $187.50 (Service call: $125, Labor: $62.50)Refund requested after 30-day ***** period on 7/31/23 Customer did not contact ******************** after service was provided to inform that the system was still not operating properly. No threats of lawsuits were administered by Richardson Heating and Cooling. Customer was irate that a refund would not be issued and threatened Richardson Heating and Cooling with bad internet reviews. Customer was informed of ****** service policy and that the window had passed. Richardson Heating and Cooling would have immediately scheduled a return visit to ensure customer satisfaction, however no such communication was made by the customer in order to do so.

    Richardson Heating and Cooling did a wonderful job on getting my new unit installed in a timely manner, were very professional and did a great job of cleaning up after the installation was complete. They even went the extra mile to reinstall my interior door where the unit was installed (it was removed prior to them coming in). If you are looking for a family owned company that is reliable, affordable, professional, and has great customer service, ******************** is the company I recommend.
