On April 25, 2023 we signed a contract with Constructors911 to repair storm damage to our home. Their project manager was responsible for handling our insurance claim and overseeing repairs.When the siding crew Constructors911 hired was working on our house on June 12, 2023, they didnt cover our Vekadeck with a tarp and caused extensive damage to it. The entire deck must be replaced. The crew admitted they did the damage and the siding company took responsibility for it. However, the siding companys insurance only covers ACV and will not pay the full cost of replacing our deck with an identical one. Constructors911s own insurance wont cover the difference. Our homeowners insurance wont cover it until we have sued the siding companys insurance, which will cost thousands of dollars and could take years. Constructors911 offered to let us hire them to replace our Vekadeck for the amount of the insurance settlement with a different, less expensive decka Timbertech deck. But we want back the deck we had. We chose Vekadeck because its a superior product. Our deck was in new condition. We also still owe $15,000 on it. Only Chesterfield ************ is licensed to replace it, which will cost $48,737. The siding companys settlement only pays $11,992. Constructors911 is ultimately responsible and owes us the rest of the cost: $36,745.Also, Constructors911 stopped handling our insurance claim before it was complete. The insurance funds are available, but our bank isnt sure what is owed to Constructors911 because they didnt complete all the work in the original claim. The bank wont release the funds for our other repairs until Constructors911 has been paid. On February 9, 2024 we requested a detailed final invoice from Constructors911 but as of April 7, 2024 we have not yet received one. We are asking Constructors911 to give us a check for $36,745 so we can replace our Vekadeck and send us a detailed final invoice so we can complete repairs on our home.
