I gave this business a deposit for work to be done on gutters. Deposit was taken, no work was completed. When asked to return deposit owner lied saying he returned but funds were never received. The business essentially stole $600 from me. Other reviews state the same, the owner is a fraud/scammerBusiness Response

In response to the most recent business response from For Valor Roofing- It was almost a full week before we heard anything about machinery not working properly, adding to the lie that they would have known about the equipment not working properly had they actually gotten to our job when they said they would multiple days prior. The owner refunded half of the deposit and claimed he would only return the remaining funds when I remove the negative reviews posted about his business online. This complaint is not resolved and I am still owed $285.10. I can provide proof of transactions and screenshots of our conversation solidifying these claims.

In April 2024, I contacted ******* ***** the owner of For Valor Roofing to replace my roof as it was damaged and leaking into my home. Contracts were signed, and 60% of the roof cost was paid via Venmo on May 6 2024 so Hampton could order the materials. 5/20/24 materials were received. Multiple times I was given promise of the roof being replaced, with specific dates told. ******* did not fulfill any of these and I had to contact him after those times elapsed, and there was always an excuse. See texts. In addition, there were multiple calls also placed throughout this timeframe.Monday 9/16/24 I called ******* frustrated with lack of communication and demanded the job be done. He made promises of it being done today, 9/21/24. I made 4 calls throughout the day, unanswered, and multiple texts until 9 hours after the initial contact ******* said the job wouldn't be done today and there was rain coming the following days. Since that text, multiple additional texts and phone calls have been placed with zero response.For Valor Roofing has been holding onto $3,736.39 of my money since May 6th, refusing to refund my money or perform the job I paid for after four months. There may be additional damage to my home I have not yet had inspected due to the leaky roof being left alone for this timeframe, and ******* has said multiple times that his other jobs were a higher priority and mine was consistently delayed.After now being ignored by *******, I feel as going through the BBB to report his hold over my money without completing services or legal actions are the only way I'll get the job finished or for me to get my money back to contract another company.Business Response

On July 27th, 2024 the owner, ************************* and I signed a contract to replace 1 side of the garage roof. The contract states to reshingle the right side of the ***** (approximately 4 square), replace 1 piece of decking where a tree punctured the roof, all new drip edge and underlayment. After 4 weeks of delays (was told they would get it done the next day) ******* snuck in during the middle of the night, did a cheap patch job, and replaced 5 shingles of the wrong color. More than likely leftovers from another job. I had disclosed this in my seller's disclosure as a full right-side replacement with warranty and all the details in the contract. I did not authorize a terrible patch job and when confronted about it, I was told there is a minimum of $450 service charge. I didn't agree to a service charge and its not in the contract. He told me that was good enough and that no one wasn't going to buy the house because of this crappy patch job. Except I had to give the buyer a $1300 credit for the roof that he was supposed to repair. He had the audacity to tell me that the repair was good enough and we were just going to leave it at that! He is just going to keep all the money for the entire repair while providing a much cheaper patch.Business Response

7/27/2023, $24,083.01... the check was given to For Valor Roofing to do the roof, siding, and garage roof, and a chimney cap, as of this day 3-20-2024 the garage roof has not been done.I have tried to contact ******* ***** by phone with no answer. Also on 3-15-23 I gave him a cerified check for $7000.00 for a down payment on a deck, on 1-5-24 a check for $5,000 and another check for $2,283.00 on 1-9-24 , my deck has yet to be completed.Business Response

Not only have I given him $24,000 for my roofs he also has $15,000 for a deck that had not been finished. I have hired another contractor to **** the old deck, which was made from pine and other cheap material not made for outdoor use. the new contractor tore down the old deck, deeming it unsafe and cheap material, otherwords he didn't know what he was doing. In responce to your email July 5, the total amount on the roofs and siding was $34,000 and that was to do the house roof the house siding and the garage roof, and as of this date has not bee done. I have no other choice but to contact a attorney to retreive my money back for the garage roof and the deck.Customer Answer
