I have a 2017 rt 198 p ranger bass boat, and the haul split on it. I was fighting with white H3332**37363333363533H to warranty it after bringing it to Jetta H33363833**3336**3038H and advocating on my behalf. H323036343433343334**H H3332**37363333363533H is saying that the gusset (sp?) which is a support bracket of the haul, the weld broke. They rewelded it but they did not replace the haul. The problem is they welded where the split was. The bracket supporting the inside, they welded on the outside of the haul. The heat made the bottom warped as well. It makes no sense they went about it. I went to pick up my boat last year when I finally got it back, paint was flaking off and I provided this to Jetta, which was provided to white H3332**37363333363533H, who then provided to a paint place. They just repainted that area and not the whole area, thus where they over sprayed is peeling again and now they white H3332**37363333363533H is refusing to fix it. The performance has been greatly impacted I**;m only able to reach speeds up to 43 when it should have a max speed of 59.Customer response

Here are several pictures where the paint keeps flaking off my boat where repaired and repainted in that area. It also sh our ************* of the extra welds they did on outside of hull that are suppose to be on inside of hull only not exposed. Boat now runs slower not to performance specs hull has waves from warping due to welding. Resale/ value is terrible due to poor repair. I have lifetime hull warranty from ranger. They are refusing to correct the paint on hull and it will not stop flaking off since repair.Initial Complaint

I ordered a boat on Febuary 14th. The boat was supposed to be delivered in 6 to 8 weeks. I picked up the boat on May 10th, 12 weeks later. (This is not my complaint, just a basis for my complaint). As you can see, the white document clearly states for me to receive a $500 gift card. It is now approaching 10 weeks since I purchased the boat and I keep getting a runaround on my gift card. every time I call them they can't tell me where it is. I payed cash for the boat and all I want is the gift card. This is ***** unfair business practice. I held up my end of the contract and all I am asking for is for the company to honor their portion of the contract in a timely manner. Any assistance with this would be very much appreciated. Thank you! A frustrated consumer.Customer response

We bought our Bass pro classic XL new in 2021, in the first year the trolling motor which was under warranty went out and when we brought it in. They did not have the replacement and after numerous delays, the manager at the ******, ********, Bass Pro Marine offered a larger and better trolling motor at no extra cost, and they went ahead and did a custom mount of which worked fine for about a year and then the frame of the hall crack around and underneath where they mounted the trolling motor in a special place, so my son brought it into the ***************************** Because thats where we moved the boat and they refused to fix it because they said that the work was done at a Bass Pro and they would have to fix it there. Then fast forward another year to this year in March when we were pulling the boat out of the water. We noticed a large crack in the hall about 3 to 4 feet long , along the weld line of which you can see the welding was done improperly and so therefore it breached, when we brought the boat into the Bass Pro in ********* *****, they had it reviewed by your warranty specialist and they refused to cover it under warranty and so I have made numerous attempts to contact the White River Marine customer service directly been very nice and very patient and after numerous calls and attempts no call back, also we were refused a copy of the report from the warranty inspection person and I did have a discussion with the manager at the Bass Pro in ****** and he said there is no reason why it should not be covered under warranty because they have been covering the hall breaches and he said that theres been a lot of returns because of bad welding during the Covid And that Bass Pro should also be willing to fix the area hall cracked underneath the trolling motor, but neither warranty issues have been covered at the *****************************??? so I am very confused as to why they refusing to cover this under warranty. Please help!Initial Complaint

White River Marine Group moves like snails when dealing with their potential buyers and knows how to kill deals. I understand this is boat sales and not cars but cars would have answers and numbers immediately. Since dealing with WRMG, it has been over a week and I have not even gotten a single quote. How hard is a quote? it is simply ridiculous. among this is, I have to persistently check on the progress of this potential and dying transaction in order to get any response.Customer response

I Have a complaint against Nitro Boats and white river marine. I purchased the boat from a dealer in ************ ******** marine In late June of last year. My boat took on water from day one, had a gel coat crack and had issues with multiple electronic parts on the boat. It was sent back to dealership for repairs. They had the boat from September until November. During this time they were to repair the crack and fix the issues going on with the boat. I tried many times to talk with someone at Nitro Directly and no one would talk with me about the problems. Fast forward to this June and the same thing has occurred boat is filling with water. Electronic problems have occurred and it has cost me money as I do fish tournaments. I again have tried to get ahold of someone to speak with and still cannot talk with anyone directly at white river marine or Nitro boats. I just want a resolve, this has not been an enjoyable experience.Initial Complaint

I purchased a $45,000 pontoon boat from Bass Pro Shops. There were countless warranty issues but most all of them have been resolved. The main issue now is vinyl seats are deteriorating as well as the steering wheel. The warranty covers vinyl seats but I was denied 3 times for repair. When the boat has been in for repairs, it is siting out in the sun and they don**;t have it covered. It is covered when it is in my possession. There is nothing in the warranty about environmental issues, just that the vinyl is covered under warranty. I would like for them to repair or replace the vinyl seats and the steering wheel on the boat or replace the whole boat)Initial Complaint

March 23rd 2024 I dent my boat back to Ranger to have them fix two dents that were found on the bottom of my boat. The reason why the boat was sent back to Ranger was because my insurance company told me that it was a manufactured defect and that they were going to close out my case. I asked Ranger boat to give me documentation of what work was done on the boat when they gave me everything that was done on the boat they said that they were not going to fix the dents on the bottom because they were caused by wave damage.Initial Complaint

Also the hinges and s**** started falling out in just ones season. They have made it extremely difficult to contact and have made no effort to make try and resolve the issues in a reasonable way. This is a brand new ***** boat . ** spent hundreds of dollars and countless hours transporting the boat time lost on the water with my family with shop repairsInitial Complaint

Tracker Marine (owned by bass pro shops), has a warranty department of White River Marine Group. They have produced numerous Nitro Z7 boats that were created with a defective "hooked" hull. The problem takes a few years to develop, but due to the fiberglass mold / curing process during fiberglass development of the boat, it causes the fiberglass to shrink over time and created a deformed hull design. The design specifically causes the chines to warp, due to improper manufacturing and quality assurance process. There are loads of forums and various examples of where the boat has lost stability and increase risk to the safety of the driver and passengers, decreased speed by up to 18 mph, and placed additional strain on the motor. Initially while under warranty, White River Marine (Tracker boats / Bass Pro Shops) reported that it was a motor related issue and turned away customers within the warranty period. Then after many years, they chose to only mitigate the problem in very specific examples where the original owner still owned the boat and they were within the hull warranty period. The hooked hull is created from the manufacturer and they refuse to offer a trade in, credit, repair or any sort of support for a defect created by the manufacturer that endangers their customers along with causing long term damage to outboard motor and reducing performance. This really should be a class action lawsuit, given there are so many individuals that Bass Pro Shops has treated so poorly with something that should have been recalled by the manufacturer. Various other forums and complaints are listed below.
