I am rejecting this response because: The business overcharged me, they billed for surgical removal of a tooth which is not what was done.

****** at dental dental provided me the worse customer service today in regards to a bill from 4 years ago that has just appeared out of thin air. I have been a patient at dental dental since 2014. The office claims my insurance was terminated when I was 26. I have provided updates insurance twice. Once in 2019 & once in 2021. They only have record of 2021. I have come in for regular screenings twice a year & have NEVER been told that my insurance had any issues. ****** told me today that their office should not have seen me if I owed any money. If that is the case, how have I been able to be seen over the last 4 years if there is a bill from 2019 & 2020? Something is not right. The front desk workers tell me every visit that I do not owe a bill. Once I asked to be separated on my last visit in February 2023, they advised me in 2023 of a bill from 2019. How? Not only is this unsettling, I have been contacted many times over the last few years about others in my family that use the same dental office. That is a huge violation of HIPPA law. They have called my sister & advise my sister of a $90 bill that I (********) supposedly owed from who knows when, however, I’ve never received a call of any charges. Why was my sister receiving calls about my appointment or bill? Why did they pull up my x rays while my sister was in their chair prepping for a cleaning? My sister should not have known I even had an appointment or an alleged $90 bill. Still until this day, I have not seen or received a call or bill about $90. That is a violation of HIPPA laws. I even believe I have voicemails from this office calling me about one of my siblings having an appointment. I will call. I am being told I owe a bill of $337 when I’ve provided my insurance twice & this office failed due diligence in properly contacting clients & updating said information timely. I’ve been nice about this over the years as I actually enjoy this dental office but they have to do better. This bill needs

I had a long conversation with the patient about her balance.  It is basically accumulated balances since 2019.  She came without insurance.  I have her insurance information and it was declined by the insurance company.  We told her that her insurance was actually terminated.  I have a note from 2019 that her insurance was terminated.  She said she was going to call her insurance company to get proof that her insurance was active at that time.  I told her we would resubmit the claim.  She never got back with us.  She was under her mom's insurance and was supposed to come on Feb. 27th and never showed up.  I believe her insurance was terminated.  That is her true balance and we will not be able to see her until her balance is paid in full.  It has been 3 weeks since I last talked with her.
