I contacted E&J Moving 6/15/23 and was given pricing and a schedule confirmation for 6/22. Movers were a NC/NS I contacted the owner to be rescheduled for 6/23 between 11/1. I was contacted by ***** to confirm what was being moved and explained to him that the movers would have nothing but 3 dressers, 3 chest a washer & dryer and a partial of a bed. I made it clear that I was having a time getting the headboard disassembled. ***** then assured me that 1) he wanted to make sure his employees were coming with the right size truck for my needs and 2) they his men would come equipped with the necessary move to complete my move. I was called at 12:10 exactly with an eta of 30 minutes arrival time from the movers. The arrived at 12:40pm to move me. I noticed that they weren’t using dolly’s or blankets but taking the dresser drawer one in each arm and placing them on the truck. The partial bed was one of the last to be worked the employee called both of his bosses to let them know he was having a hard time getting the headboard apart. That the screws were small and tight. Eric told him to have me give him a call so either him or someone could come out to finish getting the rest of my stuff. Once at the new place I noticed the drawers on 2 of the sets were damaged when I showed them to the workers one said “oh it probably happened when we opened the truck some stuff fell. Take a picture and send it to Eric.” I did as instructed. The worker tells me I’ll cash app you $50 dollars for the damage.” As I WAS PUTTING MY OWN Furniture and dressers back together I noticed another set had damaged I contacted the owner to let him know not 1 but several pieces were damaged and I still had pieces at the other house. The owner told me he employees didn’t damage my things, I’m tying to get over on him and it’s not his job to get out tight screws. I asked for a refund of my payment in order to pay another company to finish moving me or for him to file an insurance claim for the damages.
