Hello. I'm not sure what to do anymore, as I've been giving the runaround by multiple state agencies. So I've lived at my apartment for 4 years and my landlord purposely let my lease lapse (did not contact me back upon request) in order to sell the apartment building to perhaps a shell company? I have no idea what is going on. "CTSuites" out of Hartford CT sent me an email that they were buying the building and increasing my rent by almost 40%. Since they bought the apartment, I have filed numerous maintenance request forms (months ago) and they have never been answered. I have been stung by multiple hornets that they refuse to take care of, there are flying squirrels living in my walls that come into the apartment, there is a HUGE hole in the 2nd story deck, black mold in the decaying moulding around the bathtub. They refuse to provide ANY information when i email or text the number provided (they do not answer phone calls). Apparently the company's website is a sham and they are actually owned by a Colorado? based company called CPI Group which i can not find anymore information on and they have also refused to contact me back. I have now given my notice that I will be moving out and I feel like I've simply been scammed and forced out. I do not believe that I should have paid the last month's rent since they never answered a single maintenance request, some of which could have been quite detrimental to my wellbeing. I also paid first month, last month, and security upon moving in and it appears that they will only be giving my security deposit back. I don't even know who owns my apartment building and I have no idea who to contact about anything.
