I bought a rebuilt motor from PowerSource in Now. 2021. They have a guarantee for ****** miles or 3 years parts and labor. The motor I bought from them went out at ****** miles in Oct. of 2024. They did send new motor but reuse to pay to switch out the bad motor to new motor. I paid to have the first motor they sent me, but they are refusing to pay they labor to switch out their bad motor.

These engines are built by the *** remanufacturer. They build the same engine and sell them through dealerships under the ***** brand name. The manufacturer is not refusing to pay labor. The shop is refusing to return the allegedly defective engine. Interestingly, the invoice submitted for labor is a very generic looking form, possibly created from a ********* Word template. It states the name of the shop as ******** Vehicle Repairs". However, the address returns a legitimate shop named ******************************** Reading that shop's reviews, it's clear that there is a ***** employed at *****************************. We suspect that this person is running a side business, probably to generate extra revenue for themselves, while attempting to charge full legitimate shop rate for labor. This may or may not be illegal in the state of **********. As far as returning the engine for inspection, this is verbatim from the manufacturer's warranty that was received with the engine: "All parts and labor payments subject to approval upon inspection of the remanufactured engine, transmission, component, or parts by Remanufacturer." Engines must be returned to determine the cause of failure. If it isn't returned soon, the manufacturer will not pay any labor. This customer needs to get ***** to return the engine in order for the claim to be paid and closed.

Due to the fact that this person chose to submit a second fraudulent review, let's address their claims:

    1. "Powersource is a bit of a shady company"PowerSource has an A+ rating with the BBB, the ONLY source of VERIFIED reviews. Our rating is 4.85 out of 5. The company he's recommending is rated 1.53 out of 5. Also "They will also give you a 7 year warranty" Wrong. They will SELL you a 7 year warranty for $798.2. "Not even close to the 3 year limit"The engine was actually purchased 9/21/21. The warranty claim was filed 8/13/24. Literally, 2 years 10 months and 2 weeks into the 3 year limit.3. "Refuse to pay the labor to switch motors"As we noted earlier, a labor bill for a nonexistent "business" was submitted for FOUR times the amount the warranty pays.4. "They want their old motor back"As noted earlier, the warranty states verbatim "All parts and labor payments subject to approval upon inspection of the remanufactured engine, transmission, component, or parts by Remanufacturer." The fact that this person refuses to ship back the allegedly defective engine is the only shady aspect of this entire exchange. The shipping is free. The labor will be paid when the allegedly defective engine is received. Why won't they agree to ship it back?

I am rejecting this response because: All PowerSource has to do is let the Shop know, is that they guarantee when motor is returned, they will send the money

to cover the cost. They can pay Christian **** the money. By the response from PowerSource owner, he is looking to get out of paying the amount on the invoice. That is what I paid to have the motor I purchased from PowerSource when my original motor went out. They won't accept they gave me a bad motor. I will double down on PowerSource being a shady company with an unethical owner. Guarantee Christian auto the payment, they will pull the motor and send it back. Very Simple solution.

    Sincerely,

    ***** ******

You can double down all you want but the only shady business occurring is you submitting a labor invoice from a nonexistent business for four times the amount of labor due. That and recommending to people that they deal with one of our competitors that has a BBB rating less than one third as good as ours. If you had read the copy of the silver no fault warranty that we sent you, you would understand that the labor payment is GUARANTEED upon return of the engine. All you need to do is ship it back at no cost to you and you will receive the labor payment. It's that simple. If you don't already have it, simply contact us and we will send you a completed, prepaid Bill of Lading to ship it back with.

We ordered a motor for a F150, they had the *** number and sent us the wrong motor. The motor was then sent back and we paid for the correct motor to be sent without the refund from the wrong one. Power Source recieved the motor on 9/11/2024, voiced that they had the motor and still have yet to refund the money. I have called several times, left numerous voicemails, called every contact number I could find and not one person has returned my calls or emails. My business is small we cannot afford to take this big of a loss. I am with Accelerated ********************* out of West fargo ND *****

We used ****'s own parts website to determine the correct part number from the **** Unfortunately, **** themselves have incorrect information on the fitment of this engine. We had the engine shipped back for credit. As we told the customer, new returns have to be inspected to verify that they can be returned to stock. We told the customer that as soon as it was inspected and we received credit for it we would issue credit to them. We received credit from the factory on 9/20/24 and issued the customer a full refund the same day.

I bought a motor for my suburban at the beginning of July 2020 that came with a 3 year/100,000 mile warranty. The licensed shop received the motor around the middle of July of 2020. I noticed that the truck had an oil leak so I took it to the shop and was then informed that it was a rear main seal leak. The same licensed shop that installed the motor contacted Power Source on October 27, 2022 which is where the motor was bought and explained to them what was going on. The gentleman that he spoke with said that they would send out a new motor and pay for reinstalling the new one, after several weeks of the licensed mechanic waiting, he called them back several more times and they stopped answering or responding to him about the situation. On November 14,2022 I reached out to Power Source and spoke with a man there whom I had previously spoken with about the situation when the mechanic could no longer reach them and we discussed the motor situation and he informed me that he would get back with me after speaking to another person at the shop and I have not heard anything back from them.

These engines are sourced from GM's factory remanufacturer.  They administer the warranty. Nobody at PowerSource ever said they would send out a new engine and pay for the reinstallation. That's a decision that the manufacturer's warranty department makes. In their warranty, they state that they will repair or replace, at their option, the defective part or engine. In this case, given that the engine is over two and a half years into a three year warranty, they elected to have the engine returned for a plant inspection to determine the cause of failure.

I am rejecting this response because: I am still under warranty on my part and they want me to send it to a whole nother state to have it inspected but refuses to talk with me to let me know where it will have to be sent to and who will be responsible for making sure it gets to them and what the next steps will be after getting it and inspecting it.

    Sincerely,
