On September 15, 2023 ***** & ****** ****** came to Mac Haik Ford Jackson to look at vehicles. They had a 2023 Toyota Crown with 12,656 miles to trade in that was purchased new from a Toyota Dealership. They decided to purchase a new 2023 Roush Performance Mustang and trade in their Toyota Crown. Their Toyota was worth $39,500 and their payoff to Toyota Motor Credit was $62,866 putting their negative equity at $23,366. ****** ****** informed us that her mother had recently passed away and left her “lots of money”. Mr. & Mrs. ****** decided to put $15,000 cash down on the Roush Mustang purchase to get the approval through Ford Credit. They elected to purchase an extended service contract, maintenance contract, gap insurance & tire and wheel insurance putting their amount financed at $84,551.75 through Ford Credit (See Attachment ***** ****** Purchase Order 1). They left the dealership happy.

On November 17, 2023 ***** & ****** ****** came to Mac Haik Ford Jackson to look at vehicles. They inquired about trading in their Roush Mustang and also a 2016 Lincoln MKZ that ****** ****** received through her mother’s estate on a new 2023 Shelby F-150. Their Roush Mustang was worth $60,000 & the inherited 2016 Lincoln MKZ was worth $15,000. Their payoff from Ford Credit was $84,889 on the Roush Mustang. Initially Mr. & Mrs. ****** wanted to put an additional $10,000 cash down with the purchase and told us that they would return the following day with a cashiers check for $10,000. We contracted them on the vehicle with $15,127.31 down payment. $5,127.31 of that was cancellations from the prorated cancellation of the service contracts they had purchased on the Roush Mustang and $10,000 was actual cash down they promised to return with in certified funds the next day. Mr. & Mrs. ****** informed us a few days later that there was an issue drawing out funds from Mrs. ******s mothers’ estate and inquired about changing the contract to only reflect the $5,127.31 in service contract cancellation and not $10,000 cash from customer. We contacted Ford Credit and got the deal approved using only the product cancellations. We re-contracted the customer to reflect that (See Attachment ***** ****** Purchase Order 2). They elected to purchase the same extended service agreements that they had purchased on the Roush Mustang. Their financed amount on the Shelby F-150 was $133,074.89. They left the dealership happy.

In mid January 2024, Mr. ****** contacted his salesperson to tell him that he hit something in the road causing some damage to the Shelby F-150. He brough it into our service department but was annoyed that collision damaged is not covered by any extended service agreements.

In early April 2024, Mrs. ****** contacted her salesperson *** ******* saying that Mr. ****** has “gone crazy” and has been beating her and she needed to get rid of the Shelby F-150. *** ******* informed her that she would have a significant amount of negative equity due to those quick trades of several vehicles. She stated that she would put whatever she needed to down to get out of that truck since her mother’s estate was now settled. She went on to say that she had not heard from or seen Mr. ****** in a week and told *** that he was running around to different casinos gambling away her money.

On April 30, 2024 Mr. & Mrs. ****** visited Mac Haik Ford Jackson wanting to trade in the 2023 Shelby F-150 for a 2024 Mustang. They did not come in the Shelby F-150 and told us in was in the service department at **** **** in Vicksburg. Their Shelby F-150 was valued at $80,000 sight unseen. Mr. & Mrs. ****** immediately became irate and told our salesman *** ******* that we needed to pay them $30,000 or else they were going to the news about us. When the customer attempted to extort us for $30,000, they were told to find their happiness elsewhere and not to return

I brought my car2016 Ford Mustang GT ( black) convertible in on a Wednesday which was June 21,2023 for an antenna and a oil change. Come to find out the recall was caused the satellite antenna code on my car so I wasn’t able to receive satellite radio or navigation data on my car because of the recall of my backup camera. So it was no charge for the oil change and etc. So I called almost every week checking on my car. Fast forward didn’t know it was a back order on the parts. The techician told me the he would call me when the part comes in and if I want to get my car I can and he would leave the ticket open for me. So on August 1 I asked for a loaner management said they have no loaner program available but I can still get my car. I said ok. The next day I got a ride and went to get my car he look it up the part and the part was in so I he told me the car will be ready on Friday (Aug.5). He called me the next day and said that my car was fixed and I can pick it up and I did about 3pm. I paid for my oil change and etc. and before I pulled off the car lot my satellite radio and phone was dragging when I drove around the corner and back to the dealership and told the technician that something is wrong with my radio and my radio wasn’t like this when I bought my car in June. I asked him why did the technician checked my car before he released it to me. The technician heard it himself. So he waited on the technician and lI had to wait til the next day in which was Friday to see if it was a update on the on the computer no charge per management. They checked it Aug 5. It wasn’t the recall. They told me it would be 179.00 for a diagnostic test for me to pay to see id it’s the di amp or I have to wait till the manager get here on Monday Aug 7. They called me today they waved the fee but expect me to pay 847.00 or 874.00 for a DI amp. in which my car was in there possession since June 21. My question is my car wasn’t like that when I bought it in and they expect my to pay for something that wasn’t in my possession. That’s not right…

I'm having trouble following this complaint.....technicians are not in communication with customers, the advisors are.  and did something quit while the car was in the shop? (i thought thats what it was brought in for) or, once it was diagnosed and they figured out what was needed, did that part quit while in the shop?  not sure what the complaint is unless its because they have to repair their satellite radio.  please send more information.  thanks

I purchased a 2016 Kia Soul on July 4th 2022 from Mac Haik in Jackson Ms,,,, I went back in May of this year 2023 because I was told by ********* that works there that I could trade in the Kia,,, I went there and a lady salesman named ***** sat me down and went into my information in the computer as I got my payoff information,,she asked me if I still received Social Security benefits for myself and my daughter,, I told her no, where did that come from?? She said it was in the system that I did, then she said oh well, what kinda car did you look at? I told her a black Altima,, at that time I was getting the the payoff information and writing it down ,, she said oh no, you can’t trade because of the payoff or you can give us a cash down payment. That’s when I asked her if it showed that I gave ****** the salesman of the Kia a $5,000 down payment, she said no it showed that I gave him $4,000 ,, I remember I handed the money to ****** and he gave it back to me because he said I had to give it to the finance manager, and I did, I gave ******* $5,000!!!!! I drove away in the car and 2 days later, I was leaving for work, oil puddles (huge) was sitting under the car , I called the dealership and was directed to Mr *** (no longer there) and he sent a wrecker truck to pick it up. He told me that once the car got there, one of the guys that work in their service department left 2 bolts out of my oil pan!!!!!!!!! Back to when I went back to trade the car in,, **** keep calling and texting me for days about coming to see her, I’m quite sure these calls and texts can be pulled up in investigations but, she told me ****** was fired when I asked about him, she also stated that if you read between the lines, you would know what I mean and this is why he’s no longer here because of the crooked things he did. I said, what???!!!! I told her right then,, I saw my car on sale for $10,000 and it was a higher price when I saw it on the paperwork, I wanted the car so bad. They lie about your income to get you in a car

All the finance paperwork signed by the customer at the time of purchase was for a $4000.00 down payment. Not for $5000.00. Nothing further at this time.

The day I bought the car I gave the ****** the salesman,,,$5000,,, I did not review my paperwork for sometime,, and when I did  wanted to trade the car in.  That’s when I noticed the amount on the receipt after talking to **** that works there,, she informed me several times what ****** did and told me that was of the reasons he was terminated,, and he also put into the computer there that I received Disability and that my income was more than I actually receive,, I was never asked to present a check stub, which I had with me.

On January 26, 2023, i completed all forms needed to get the 2020 Toyota Camry that I was trying to purchase. I received a text message asking me to come to Mac Haik to sign for the car in which I wanted because I had been approved for $2500 down. When I got there, I test drove the vehicle. Then, we came back to sign. I signed all paperwork. Only for the sales person, Mr. ******** to go get Mr. **** who came and rudely stated “Someone has bought the car you signed for. You can get this Hyundai Elantra or you can’t get anything else. Your credit score was a 400.” In which, my credit score is not a 400. He then proceeded to say, “trade your car in and it will go down. The only place that will try is Capital One but you have to trade your car in.” They brought me in on false intentions. He later called me stating that, “The lady changed her mind on the car that you wanted. You can come back and get it for 3200 down at 950 a month.” I stated that’s not what was previously stated. **** and ***** ran my credit placing hard inquiries on it only to tell me when I got there someone else had purchased the car in which we had discussed and I was on the way to sign for, ONLY to call me back and say the lady did not get it and i could trade my car in to get the car i want. I would like for the company to take all inquiries off my credit report.

This was a generic credit application filled out by the customer online prior to arriving at our dealership. Once the customer arrived, and everything was submitted, she did not qualify for financing. We had no control over her qualification.  Nothing further

I purchased a $43,000.00 2017 F150 with 77,000 miles on it. After paying sticker price with no negotiating. The trucks torque converter went out in the way home. I’m from Pensacola, FL, nearly 4.5hrs from the dealership. I contacted the dealership immediately to let them know do the issue. Finally, after several text and phone to my salesman, *******, weeks later their “sales manager” ***** contacted me with a solution to my problem. They offered to take the truck back on trade. That’s great, thank you! (Wait, it gets better..) So, I found a close to comparable truck on their website to trade. Got a buyers order from them (***** and *******) got my credit pulled AGAIN (it’s been several weeks by this point) and a new loan for the trade. A before I was supposed to make the 9hr round trip journey to bring their broken truck back to them, I receive a cal with them telling me they sold the truck i just got the new loan for. More than frustrated by this point (2 months in) I called Ford corporate to see if I had any option for assistance. Once ***** “the manager” found out I contacted corporate for assistance, he pitched a fit and had his salesman (he didn’t see the need to call me himself to tell me), call me to say “deals off. We aren’t gonna do anything to help you because you called corporate for help” Basically he sent the message saying it’s your truck and your issue to deal with now even tho it happened hours after purchasing it. That said $43k, hours of phone calls, text and emails with zero help later, I’m stuck with a $4,000+ transmission repair, among other issues with the truck they were made aware of, and no help from a “reputable dealer”. I now have an extra credit pull for vehicle they entertained selling me and didn’t even have possession of.
