I had a minor overdraft on my account. I didn't know that I was getting charged a $1 a day for the overdraft not being corrected. My charges ended up being $44. I read the mail called the company on June 3rd and told them to mark on my account that I was coming in to pay the $44. The next day I went in the drive thru and paid it with a teller. I asked the teller how the balance had gotten to $44, he said I was being charged $1 a day for overdraft fees. I told him to close the account because it was costing more than it was a benefit I never used the card. I was getting monthly fees for an account I didn't use. He accepted the deposit and closed the account through the drive thru. I look on my credit report this month and I see a charge off for $44. How would I have made a deposit thru their drive thru on an account that was already closed. Somebody is not telling the truth. I called the bank and the associate said the account was charged off that morning. If it was charged off that morning, how did I make a payment through the drive thru that afternoon. The banks business hours are until 4pm. Payment was accepted that business day from the branch on ************.
