Maxxsouth runs a monopoly over the services in **********, **. This is a college town, the county seat for a rural area, and the location of our vet school. This past week a letter was mailed out saying services will be discontinued for all current equipment and we had to switch to fiber. I made an appointment Monday and the line was laid but not buried 6/18/24. Today 6/22 a tech was supposed to come and install indoor equipment and couldnt because mowers had hit the fiber cable that is just thrown out across the grass. I am including pictures of how cords are never buried and in the pictures with tall grass those will soon be cords cut when the monthly **** hog comes to cut the larger field. I was told they couldnt bury the line until speaking with someone but care isnt even taken to put it close to the house. It is literally thrown in the grass. Its summer in *********** and the grass grows quickly and mowers come at least every week-week and a half around the houses we rent. This is apparently our only option. We pay for the lowest speed and cannot even get decent service. Their phone line is also very hard to use because it does not always recognize the numbers you type for the options. When you do get in line, it offers a call back. I have done this option twice (6 days ago) and never received a call back. I had to go to the physical location. If the line is not buried it will constantly be hit and this is an issue throughout the neighborhood. Some people have their neighbors fiber line going across their patios and you can see them hanging up on old satellite dishes. Thats peoples attempt at avoiding the mowers. And regardless you will get charged and they do not try to rectify any situation. Youre just thrown to the bottom of the list. In some locations in ********** it is the only option and in others its the most affordable. ATT and ******* and CSpire may offer services at twice the going rate of what they offer.

We reviewed ************************** allegations upon receiving the informal complaint. On July 9th, a MaxxSouth Technical Supervisor confirmed that ************************** fiber line had been buried. MaxxSouth apologizes for the delay in getting her fiber buried. We cherish ********************** as a customer and will extend her credit on her account for the inconvenience she experienced.
