  Nice til you sign. Then they treat you like dirt. Just pay attention to how they handle these replies. They are not courteous, they are combative. Someone misspoke and said they own the buildings, they reply back with "Got ya! Case dismissed!" I have no doubt that if they reply to this one, it will have a similar tone. Summit has a well-known reputation as being crooks. Shady company in and out, rude to tenants, will try to strong-arm you or ghost you the entire time. Won't repair something unless they can charge you for it. Not welcoming. Say goodbye to your security deposit; their lease is designed specifically to strip $$$ from your hands. They must have some gov officials in their pockets because I really don't know how they stay in business. They prey on young and naive kids. The fact that everyone (myself included) has a story about them stealing the deposit, showing proof against their claims, then them saying "Whoops, here's some of the money back!" This isn't an accident, this is a routine. They need to seriously be investigated.

  This is one of the absolute worst housing management companies I have ever had to deal with. They bought out the apartment complex that I am currently living at and have treated everyone of my roommates and I extremely poorly. First off they scheduled our house to be painted and re-roofed without any notice of when the workers would show up. So they just did at 6:30 AM ON A SUNDAY AND SATURDAY FOR TWO WEEKS STRAIGHT. No notice, no heads up, equipment all over the place. They moved our outside furniture which is very big and heavy out of the way AND THEN NEVER MOVED IT BACK WHEN THEY WERE DONE. Not only that but it is now June 18th and my lease ends August 1st. They sent an email on June 17th at 5 pm saying they had the right to relocate me and that I needed to have my belongings packed up by the 17th to be moved in 5 days. THEY TOLD ME 5 HOURS BEFORE I WAS SUPPOSED TO HAVE EVERYTHING PACKED UP. I wasnt even going to re-sign so i only had a month left anyways. I understood them moving my roommates because the house wasnt going to be available next year but it is absolutely ridiculous that that I am having to be moved for 1 month before moving out for good. Do not sign here it will be the worst experience working with any sort of management. Not only that but you cant ever reach anyone or have a conversation with anyone because their website is a mess and no one ever answers the phone. Trust me you do not want to go through this. They do not care about the people who are currently living here they only care about the new people coming in because they are going to raise the rates.

  This complaint is inaccurate and should be dismissed. Summit Management Services, LLC did not buy out the apartment complex nor does Summit Management own the premises. Summit Management is, as the name implies, the management agent for the actual owner. As a management agent, Summit follows the owner’s directions including the setting of rental rates. Furthermore, the lease agreement expressly reserves the right of the owner to move tenants during the term of the lease given the special nature of the by-the-bed lease. The lease provides “For purposes of operating efficiently and harmoniously, we reserve the right at any time, upon five days prior written notice to you and without your having to pay any transfer fee, to relocate you to another bedroom in the unit or to another unit within the Community. We will assist you in moving your personal property and pay for rekeying if we require transfer.”
