On July 11th at 6:50 pm I checked into the Americas Best Value Inn and received a a key for room 111. We rode from **********, ** after reserving a room online at the Americas Best Value Inn after parking we unloaded our items from our car and enter the room...The room was dirty, has a disgusting smell it supposed to have be a non smoking room but I really don't know what the smell was ....I because sick at my stomach my husband set the our bags down and went back outside...I continued to check the room out, I sprayed some air freshener but it did nothing for the smell, I opened up the refrigerator and there wad a half of bottle of water in it .I opened up dresser drawers and in one drawer was a dirty pair of underwear and dirty blue jeans....went into the bathroom and there was black mold in the toilet and the bath tub was dirty came back until the room and the top covering on the bed was dirty and the carpet on the floor hadn't been vacuum in God knows when my husband walked back in and we both said I'm not staying here this place ain't fit for anyone to stay. So we loaded our items back into the car and drove back to the front and checked out at 7:21 she stated I didn't have away to see what time it was I left everything in the car. As we was driving back to the front of the building there were and area for a dumpster but no dumpster was there but alot of trash on the ground and where we had parked was a car jacked up on a stand and the pool was disgusting they had a sign up stating that the pool was closed for maintenance but the pool was filled with debris...I think someone needs to go check out this business because it unfit for anyone to stay...I have vacation there and have stayed at the hotel and it was stay able in the past and a reasonable price but not again unless they do a major improvement...I would like my money back but most of all I would like to stop anyone else from having to experience the same situation, hope that you can help...Business response

We would like to clarify that we have a garbage can located on the back side of our property for waste disposal. We also had to close the pool for maintenance due to debris, which is why it was not in use during your visit. Additionally, there was a nearby field fire around the time of your stay, which may have contributed to the unpleasant smell you noticed.
We understand your concerns about the parking lot and the conditions of the room. Unfortunately, we cannot control the actions of other guests or external factors such as the fire.
At this time, we are unable to process a refund for your stay. However, to make up for the inconvenience and to show you a better experience, we would like to offer you a free night stay on a future visit. We hope this opportunity will allow us to demonstrate the improvements we are making and provide a much more enjoyable stay.

We got to the motel at 3. The process of checking in and us getting our bags in the room took about 20 minutes. My wife went to the bathroom as soon as we did that and when she tried to come out the door k*** was broken and would not open. I used a card to open the door. I told the maintenance guy and he came and looked at it and said it would have to be replaced. I said ok no own problem. But shortly after that they came to move us to another room. By now it was after 4. We moved our stuff down the hall to room 124. This room was obviously one they were working on. No chairs, bad wallpapers and the sink looked sick. It may have been cleaned but it looked sick. I immediately called and said we just wanted to leave and get our money back. They said we had been there to long to get our money back. When we got our stuff in the car and drove back around and I went inside it was 427. But the entire time we was there was waiting and then and moving around. They said the room had to be recleaned so we couldn't get our money back. I said I would give 10 or so since she did go to the bathroom. But they refused and at this point wasn't being to nice about it. I to them we leave and report it to the BBB and they said fine. I not only want my money back but this should be made known to anyone thinking about staying there.Business response
