      If you have medical bills with this hospital, you will have to be a paper chaser because they sell it. And then you won’t ever get a statement and then they’ll sell it again and they’ll sell it again and then after you’ve been paying the hospital for a year you’ll call and they’ll tell you they can’t take your payment anymore, I feel like they just want you to be late so they can charge interest and get more money. When I’ve made a payment faithfully since 2020 but I’ve had to chase it for four years and now I’m chasing it again because it’s probably gonna be a while because I owe a lot but they sure do make it difficult for me to pay and I’m not paying your minimum amount. I can’t afford it at the moment when I get my other bill knocked off I planned on it. You can just take it automatically and stick it.

      Very rude nurse at Pontotoc hospital got upset with me for coming back to the hospital prior to being that earlier that morning. She argued with me as if she was a random person in the streets in the triage. No compassion for her job & no morals for herself. Kept trying to get me to leave I explained to her my problem again. She wanted me to leave. I understand the medical field is not what it used to be but that is no reason to treat anyone or holler at them the way she did she raised her voice plenty of times & I literally had to stand my ground and argue as my throat was so swollen I was choking on my tonsils! All I wanted was the steroid shot I was offered that morning for some relief that's all it was a Sunday I have 3 kids & needed relief it's my insurance to bill so I did not understand her anger I will keep looking for ways to go after this. Thanks

      This patient received a written acknowledgment of her complaint on 11/27/22 and was personally contacted by the Chef Nursing Officer on 11/28/22. The patient record was reviewed, and staff was educated regarding clear communication and compassion. We reviewed the issues you brought to our attention related to your recent visit at NMMC-Pontotoc. We have used this incident to educate the staff to deter this from happening in the future. We have also reinforced the necessity of clear and concise communication between care providers, patient, and family. We take our patient concerns very seriously and appreciate the opportunity you have given us to review the situation. It is our mission to provide the very best care to you – every time. Regretfully, we fell short of that goal with your recent visit. We appreciate the trust that you have given NMMC-Pontotoc and hope you will continue to trust your health care to us.
