      My daughter was in a minor automobile accident in February 2024. Her 2006 ***** Corvette was towed and ended up at Dwayne Blackmon Chevrolet. While under Blackmon Chevrolet care, her car has been destroyed by lack of adequate protection from environmental elements in addition to poor workmanship. We have continually been given the run around as of the status of her vehicle. The car was directly in their care and received more exterior damage after the accident in addition to Blackmon body shop allowing the battery to die and left the windows down while sitting outside for over 9 months. There is documented damage from rain entering the vehicle due to their negligence. The body shop would fix one item that would take almost a month, and then find something else. Then it sits for another month, and the process has repeated since February. We are seeking closure and for Dwayne Blackmon to be held liable for the inadequate repairs, and subsequent damage to her vehicle. The vehicle has just recently been inspected for frame damage. Its unacceptable to have someone only mode of transportation for 9 months, and not have a solution for every discrepancy for the vehicle.

      On Saturday 2/10 the day after my daughter returned from military tech school for a brief leave, my husband, myself and my daughter went to get her a car loan for $23,000 and began visiting dealerships to purcahse a vehicle for this amount. We visitied 2 dealerships in our state inquiring about the same vehicle. Both dealerships had the car but the cost was too expensive. So we visited a dealership in a neighboring state that was about 30 minutes from where we live, we let the dealership know we wanted to buy the same car, which was a little over $23,000, but we wanted to see if the dealership was willing to work with us and allow us to purcahse the car for $23,000 with tax, titles, and fees included. After talking with a salesman for sometime about sales tax, he gave us an offer of a little over $25,000 and gave suggestions on how we can pay that amount. One suggestion was pay the difference with cash. We decided to pass due to cost.After, we visited the second dealership, we called Blackmon Chevrolet because we seen the vehicle in question for a little over $24,000 online. So we decided to call Blackmon ***** to see if they were willing to offer the car for $23,000 with tax, title, and fees included. My husband spoke with **** and made the offer. They said they wouldn't be able to sell the car for that amount but would be able to sell it for a little over $24,000 with everything included. My husband told her he would call back if we agreed on the offer. After visiting the dealership that offered the car for $25,000 we called Blackmon ***** (which was about 2 hrs away from home) to confirm the deal. My husband asked **** again (before we began driving to far away from home) will we be able to buy the car with tax, titles, and fees included for the price they offered (a little over $24,000). **** said yes so we drove down and purchased the car. $23,000 check and $1080 debit card payment. 2 days later we find that sales tax was not included in the amount paid.

      We apologize if there were any misunderstandings about this transaction.   We, as a *********** Dealer, do not collect Sales Tax for other states because we are not a licensed agent to do so. It is not included in the total amount paid to us by the customer. In this transaction  the total price that was quoted and agreed upon included the dealer fees and any Manufacturer rebates or incentives  but did not include ********* Sales Tax.. Again we apologize if there were any misunderstandings about this issue
