    We contacted Newman restoration for an estimate on getting flood damage repaired. They setup an appointment and stated that it would be a $250 charge. I informed them that they advertise free estimates and she stated that because of the demand they are charging for them now. Due to needing the repair done quickly I said for them to come out and they were the first company that answered the phone after calling 4 others.6/9 ****** arrived and said that they could mitigate the water damage and that office would give us a call with the price. ****** stated that he could drop off fans on his way home to start the process and if we decide against using them because of the price he could pick them up in the morning because he lived close. We said ok and never heard from the office. We made multiple phone calls that went straight to voicemail and didn't even ring. The night of 6/9 a dehumidifier that they dropped off was not working. I talked to the owner and he said he would get it replaced. That did not happen until 6/12. 6/14 ****** arrived to get some measurement and we told him that we still did not have an estimate and he said that the office would send it. I told him that we don't want anything done until we know a cost. 6/15 I contacted the owner and he said that they changed how they bill because of the demand and that it would cost more than ****** dollars to mitigate the damage and not rebuild. I told him we could not afford it and that he needed to get his equipment. They did not pick up the equipment until 6/19. We received a bill for 7 hours of work and 9 days of rentals that we did not agree to. Our security cameras show that they were at our house for only 75 minutes combined and that includes the free estimate time. We have refused to pay the invoice due to never signing a contract for service. We also feel the company is price gouging as we called other companies to rent the same equipment and it was more than half the price he is charging. The invoice reflects inaccurate services provided.

    We previously communicated with ******************** that we have voided the invoice and no longer have a balance due. We weren't able to come to an agreement and decided to part ways. This was communicated over email.
