They are truly a rip off scam. They pretend to be the uscg. I don't understand why the government has not closed them down. I was scammed out of $750

Maritime Documentation Center IS A SCAM. They go after boat owners by mailing out thousands of "**** CERTIFICATE OF DOCUMENTATION EXPIRATION NOTICES". They state for you to renew electronically or by phone to avoid expiration. They state renewal fees that are 5 to 10 higher than what they are. You pay by check or credit card and then you NEVER HEAR FROM THEM AGAIN. There is no way to speak to a live person and you never receive your COD.This has been going on for years. What makes it even more frustrating is the fact that the **** and National Vessel Documentation Center knows its happening and don't feel they have any responsibility or obligation in notifying and warning boat owners of this horrendous crime when its time for your boat's COD renewal. In my case, this could have been avoided if they had just answered their phone when I called them in April of 2022 after receiving my expiration notice. I had no way then to leave a message or have someone call me back.I hope this will help letting folks out there know to be more diligent when something doesn't seem right. Research and check things out before you pay. I got scammed for $395. when my renewal fee was only for $26.00.************************* in ********* **

I would say that Maritime Documentation is the best company around for any documentation needed regarding your vessel.I needed an owner change for my boat and I submitted everything on their website and it was a peach.I am really grateful to them for making the process easier and would use them again.Top notch!
