08/19/24 purchased 2011 Chrysler 200 from Montana Motor Mall for $5,900 as well as a separate service contract for $ *****. Financed $7,420 from ******************. Car was purchased for son ***** and loan cosigned by ****** *****. Within 3 days car was leaking, thought may be due to loose oil cap. We fixed that, car continued to leak. Returned car to MMM they repaired. Car continued to leak. Discovered the leak was coolant. Returned to MMM , they had car for approx 1 week. Car returned to us still leaking. ***** went to MMM very frustrated and angry. Had words with ******, salesman and *******, owner. Both sides angry with each other. Told ***** to get out and they would not work him any more. Car still not fixed. I phoned MMM as our name was on the loan also. He said they could possibly work with us but at this point he had no mechanic that could work on the car. I asked if they could pay for repairs elsewhere. He said you bought the car as is you get what you pay for. I stated that I bought the car with expectation of a working vehicle. He offered me no solution.Brought the car to ********* ***** for a second opinion, estimate for repairs came to $3,672. Advised ***** to repair only the engine oil filter housing/oil cooler ********************** call warranty and was told that repair was not covered. Out of pocket cost for repairs was approx $1,500. ***** drove car for a couple days and it started leaking fuel. Brought it back to ***** discovered that the fuel injector needed to be replaced for another $1,000. We have not done anything more as we feel that the car is just not worth it.Resolution would be return the car at full cost and refund money for completed repairs.
