I have never complained about a business before.Yetti Diesel was very accommodating in fitting our *************** bus in for work. We asked them for an oil change and to swap out a part that we had already purchased the part and had in hand. We should have been looking at a **** of around ******* for this.We never heard back until I got an email with a **** for $1174.38.Apparently there had been a problem in replacing the part and it turned into a bigger job than it should have been as a simple swap. Instead of calling to let us know, giving an estimate number of hours this repair would require and ask how we wanted to proceed, the mechanic decide to go forward with the fix without confirming that we were OK with the extra cost this would be. According to the owner, he didn't know that there had been an issue until the work was complete and the hours charged. We expressed our frustration over the phone as well as in person when we picked up the bus and paid the ****. The owner at that time informed us that he had already removed several hours of labor. Still a **** of almost ****. We got the bus home, removed the key and the bus was still running; aka problem not fixed. Upon inspection it appears that instead of using the right bolt that was long enough to stay in place, the mechanic spent all these hours tinkering around with the bolt installed now trying to make it work. The part installed works off and on. So now we paid those extra labor hours without our prior consent to the extra charge and are STILL left with a part not functioning properly. We are happy to pay for the oil change and hrs associated with that. We aren't willing to pay for hours that now my husband is fixing himself.
