I am contacting the Better business bureau today in regards to a complaint I have with Charlotte Street animal Hospital located at 208 Charlotte St., ******************. I was given a Referral to Charlotte Street animal Hospital from another vet located in *********. This referral was for my seven year old female dog to have a biopsy done on a cancerous growth. Charlotte Street animal hospital excepted the referral and after speaking with the front desk appointment person we were scheduled for the biopsy of the cancer. On February 16th 2021 at 1:30 PM I showed up with my dog and after they examined her a representative called me while I waited in the parking lot due to Covid and explained that they are not able to do biopsies at their location. They referred me to another vet but charge me $450 for the visit and examination. I am very frustrated with what has taken place because I already knew my dog had cancer. The only reason For the appointment was to get a biopsy done to establish the type of cancer and whether or not it can be removed. If Charlotte Street animal Hospital is not able to do biopsies than I do not understand why they scheduled me for a biopsy, had us come to their location, took my dog inside then called me and explained they are not able to do biopsies at all. While my dog was inside they expected me to pay a **** of $450 before they brought my dog back outside. I found this to be a huge lack of communication and a complete misrepresentation of what Charlotte Street animal Hospital is able to do. They referred me to an actual animal hospital which was able to do an actual biopsy that was in no way associated with Charlotte Street animal hospital. I am expecting to be reimbursed for the entire **** I was charged at Charlotte Street animal Hospital due to this misrepresentation of their abilities and lack of communication causing me to waste time And funds I needed to keep my dog healthy during her illness.
