The dispute took place at Boone Nail Bar on August 29, 2024 at/n5:28pm. The business did not provide good quality services and was asked to have nails fix multiple of times during service. The communication was clear but tech named Tee (**** ***) did not understand english. A translation between techs was not clear because she (tech) kept ignoring my inquiries. I asked to have product removed and have a refund placed politely. Translator tech forcefully raised his voice and kept persisting to fix nails but didn't feel comfortable with the tone he was speaking. The total amount spent was around $68 dollars. Checkout desk had no signs stating there will be no refunds provided.",

    Hello  Ms. ****** ,

I received your complaint from the BBB. As a business owner, I always wanted to pleasure every client and that is the way we built trust with customers. We served thousands of clients every month and *****% of our clients were happy and became loyalty customers to our salon. Rarely occasion, unpleasant feeling may happen due to many factors which may contribute to the cause. Regarding to your case, your nail was done looking fine and you was satisfied and happy to leave the salon but day or two later, you called back and asked for full refund. The clerk answered the phone and advised you comeback to the shop and we will take a look and will fix/redo it to your satisfaction and you had comeback and the nail tech was explain it to you and offered to fix/redo it and is free of charge. but you keep demand remove the nail done and geta full refund. We are in this business and had seen all kind of clients and few times we offered the full refund or partial re-imburse for minor issue that required to fix for customers who were on travel. In your case, you  was offered a redo/repair to your satisfaction even offering the diff. tech does it for you but you refused. Nail is the art that depends on how you feel/look at it. One moment is ok and other is not. Your nail done was perfect looking but whatever reason you wanted to change and we offered you the service for free. But you demand full refund that goes beyond reasonable. We can't afford to give free service for someone who needs it over night (for party)  or day and then demanded money back after the purposed achieved. I am sorry if this explanation does not help you feel better and thus, Nothing I can do for you. As a business owner, we have to be fair to the client and our workers as well .

    Hello There,

I received the complaint notice. First let me tell you what happened and then what the client wanted: Client requested an Acrylic full set ( price of $55) plus French American design price of $7.0 and special shape of $5. This brings up the total $67.00 as attached receipt shown. There was no such 20% tip was added without her knowledge as she said. Our system would not allow the clerk/tech add in any tip. This feature only allows the client whether s/he wants to add tip and then sign and submit before the transaction taken place.

The nail requested was done perfectly (Acrylic part) the only color that she had selected by her self and oked with it. she was please about nail done and left the salon . Some time later, her boy friend called the shop and tell me that she did not like the color and wanted to change. I told him that ask her to come back and the tech will change for her and it is free of charge. He said ok will do.

About 45 minutes later she and he show up at the salon. The tech said he willing to change the color for her although the color was put on her nail selected by her. No one forces her to use that color, not the tech's fault. She wanted the color remove and full refund. This request was go beyond the reasonable or communicational. Tech spent hour to complete the Acrylic nail and it was look good. Why shall us refund the money for the part that was done perfectly. Color of choice that was added to the nail is a compliment to the service. We offer her a chance to select other choice of color but she wanted to use the free -nail-done. The police woman who happened also a client sits next to her and  witness the whole story , shake her head and told us "don't worry" she will be a witness. This client also took to the Yelp to file a complain. She also, post her nail on the web site. We served thousand of clients and some times one or two clients went beyond the reasonable that can be controlled. As an owner, I am fair to both our tech and client and some times I  took a loss to make client happy but this case I will not do that IN ORDER to preserve our business integrity and employee relationship.

    Better Business Bureau:

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********* and I accept it. However, due to the quality of work, I immediately went to another salon who removed the color and advised me to return to the premises to get a refund. Upon doing so, I was met with aggression and disrespected. I’ve been going to the nail salon for a few years now, and went a few weeks ago to get my toes done. I’m unsure what changed. The gentleman I spoke to who said he was the owner was the same tech who had completed my nails. As their website states, acrylic full set plus gel color should be 55. There is no mention of a “shape fee” due to when you get acrylics they must be shaped, and mind I did not do a complex shape. I also am unaware of what “American French nail” means. I had a picture of what I wanted and clear intentions. I did not receive the service requested. While I did leave a Yelp review, there seems to be ones a bit more.. harsh.
