On Wednesday April 9 at 1245 pm I took a pre employment screening at LabCorp location on ***************** in ** I simply had water to drink and I took the test in the bathroom.I'm told today on April 10th that the test came back diluted! I called for a chain of custody but was not able to get through due to no answer, overflowing mailbox and no operator to connect to when calling or being transferred by staff.

Date: November ******* - Service requested: Labwork - Issues: 1) ********** lost several people's orders the day of the labwork. 2) *********** failed to perform/provide the results for said labwork to either me or the hospital that ordered it. 3) They've repeatedly billed me for the labwork they have not completed and are threatening collections for a service they have not provided. 4) They ignored my emailed billing disputes in January and February, and hung up on me when I called in March. 5) The only reason I am receiving a bill is because my insurance provider announced they were breaking Labcorp's monopoly by expanding to other service providers, and Labcorp raised their prices (undisclosed).

On November ******* I went to my doctor office and had bloodwork done, and they send it to Labcorp for thyroid antibodies and *********, the bill I received was $203.70 , as which I paid in full. I went back to my doctor office March ******* and she sent the same exact blood test to Labcorp and I received a bill for $438.90. I cannot figure such a high increase in billing in 4 months for the same exact bloodwork. I called LabCorp and the lady sounded very rude and says oh its a price increase and if I didnt pay it that it would go to collection. I would like a explanation how the same exact service can have a over 50% price increase in 4 months?

I am rejecting this response because:

The 2 tests I was billed for was exactly the same tests nothing changed from one test to the next within few months apart except they more than doubled the price. The response made no sense as to the increase in price difference. It was the same doctor office and blood was taken same exact way. Iam not dictating their prices but when the test had no difference from the 1st test to the 2nd except price. I will be sure and find a doctor that don't use labcorp id rather use Quest diagnostic they are much more consistent billing for bloodwork.

Service date 10/08/24 Bloodwork testing billing.******** denied original claim, which is now under appeal. Lab Corp informed of this action, yet still sending payment required notices indicating this would go to collection despite fact ******** appeals take months to review. Tried calling LabCorp, was hung up on twice (**** and then *****). On third call, while waiting to try to speak to a superviser, was hung up on again.I gave name and invoice number. I see no need to provide birthdays and phone number, it doesn't change anything. HIPPA was cited as necessity for extra data. No it doesn't. For date of service 1/26/2025, I received a bill, logged in, and provided my insurance information two times prior before my call in to them today (three times I've provided the insurance). Their website does not allow consumers to tell if their insurance is being used nor can we see our insurance information. This constitutes a surprise medical bill which violates my rights.

On 23 Dec 2024, I took an annual checkup from *************** located on ********************************************************************************************** I was told that I would be charged a copay. Dr ******** examined me and also sent me to another room within the Clinic, where I provided blood. After providing blood, I paid my copay and exited Clinic. No one told me and no did I sign any document notifying me that I would have to possibly pay more for blood results to a third party (LabCorp) which billed me seperately for $50.46. When LabCorp sent me the bill, I notified them with same information provided above and asked them to take this issue directly to the Clinic and or Dr. ********* I also delivered LabCorp billing to my Clinic for review/decision with no response. I have explained this situation to LabCorp via telephone customer service and via return billing mail. Now LabCorp is threating to impact my credit score for non-payment. Again, I state that I was not told of any possible charge resulting from blood test and or any billing from a third part, Lab Corp. My desire is to not have to pay this billing and request Lab Corp to stop current billing action and possible subsequent negative impact to my credit score. Than you. ******* K. ******* ************

I am writing to file a formal complaint regarding misleading information provided by LabCorp and the subsequent billing issue related to my lab tests. On January 7, 2025, I visited with my husband LabCorp for lab tests at *****************************************************. Before visiting the lab, I checked my insurance app and saw that LabCorp was listed as a preferred in-network provider for my plan. I explicitly confirmed with LabCorp staff before proceeding with the tests that they would be covered by my insurance. They assured me multiple times that the tests would be covered under my plan with a small out-of-pocket cost of less than $40. I trusted this information and proceeded with the lab tests based on the assurances given Issue: To my surprise, I received a bill for $991.20, which was far beyond the expected out-of-pocket amount. Despite clear communication from LabCorp staff and multiple confirmations that the tests would be covered, they now claim that my insurance will not cover the tests, and I am responsible for the full amount.LabCorps Response:1. Initial Confirmation: LabCorp assured me that the tests would be covered under my insurance:We have verified that the prices of your tests were correct. You may request specific test prices before having the testing done to alleviate any concerns or questions regarding cost.2. Denial of Responsibility: When I contacted LabCorp regarding the incorrect information, their response was:LabCorp does not have access to your specific insurance policy and is unable to advise you as to your coverage. Please contact your insurance company directly.Supporting Documents:LabCorps document with a note on the left side that the insurance would cover the tests (attached). I kindly request for help.

I have not heard from the business in response to my complaint.

      Dear ******* ****,

Thank you for your email. Unfortunately, I have not heard back from Laboratory Corporation of America (Labcorp) regarding my complaint. Instead of addressing my concerns, Labcorp has continued to send me invoices for services, despite my previous attempts to clarify the coverage and billing issues.

As I have not received a response from Labcorp to my inquiries or any resolution to the issue, I would appreciate any assistance that the BBB can provide in resolving this matter. I remain concerned about the discrepancy between what was communicated to me at the time of service and the charges I am now receiving.

Please let me know if there is anything else I need to do on my end.

Thank you for your continued assistance.

      Sincerely,
      Dominika Igue

Extremely frustrated with my experience with Labcorp. I had labs ordered through a company who was bought out by Labcorp. While they used to take my insurance, apparently they no longer do (since labcorp doesnt) I spent months arguing with them as theyre trying to charge me $1600 for some pretty basic labs. The frustration is that I was told, specifically, by their employee that they do indeed take my insurance. Since they were having issues, they had me sign a paper acknowledging that they had issues and would only charge me $150 (max). While I thought that was high, was it really worth my time in going back to the doctors to have them send the labs somewhere else? So I proceeded. Long story short, I ended up getting an invoice for over 1500. They sent it to my insurance, and they sent me a check for 150. I tried multiple times to dispute this with them, but they kept saying the paper I signed was only an estimation, and additional charges could apply. How shady and deceptive it was for them to charge me this much. I pay a significant amount monthly for my insurance, and for them to charge this amount and not accept my insurance should be illegal.

I have never went here for Lab work yet they keep billing me. None of my doctors told me I would be charged by Labcorp for testing. I have no done buisness with this nor has my doctor told me I would owe them anything. They refuse to explain any bills and just expect you to pay.
