  Worst vacation ever. .Was in the tropical storm in **********, ** on 9/16/24. Not once dos the company or owner reach out. I had to constantly reach out to them. Once a restoration guy came, don't know if he was from the company because multiple strangers came by (we had a house full of women),and he never returned. Got to use pool last day only because c*** in pool from storm, flies everywhere because noone came by to clean the pool area which had trash and wet mulch everywhere, or fix the busted fence. And beach was full of shells and dangerous waves, so we couldn't even enjoy the beach. Garage broke, had to ***** a chair under the door because no locks to basement doors. My car got flooded, had to buy a shopvac and get it towed and completley rewired, costing extra thousands of dollars. A dream vacation turned into a nightmare. When I tried calling them when I got home I got the biggest run around. They told me they will have a manager call me back (after always being busy). I told them I dobut I'll get a call,and what do ya know,I didn't get a call. And the travel insurance through ************** is worthless. They will cover a suitcase or rental car,but my own car is not my personal property!?!?!? I posted my review on Carolinas website, and guess what, it's never been posted. You will only see positive reviews. I'm disgusted with both companies.

  We reserved a house from Carolina Beach Realty for 12/15/2022 thru 12/18/2022. The house was *******************.
  When I reserved this house, months ago, one of my questions was the hot tub. I verified it worked and would be working. I was assured it was and would be clean and ready to use. Needless to say, the hot tub was neither clean or working. I called for maintenance, he showed up several hours later, determined the pump was bad, and told us he would have his office pick one up and he would install Sunday. So at this point we were 3 days without the hot tub, but he never showed back up the remaining time we were there. No call or communication from Carolina Beach Realty.
  Our first impression was the dead cockroach on the kitchen floor.
  The top 4th floor deck had multiple very soft floor planking, looked like 1 plank had been replaced, but no others.
  The grill needs to be replaced, plenty of gas but never got over 150 temp.
  The elevator was very iffy, I had to reset the circuit breaker multiple times because it would not leave the 2nd floor.
  The pots and skillets for cooking were Teflon, but very scratched, they need to be replaced.
  The water had an extremely nasty smell of rotten eggs (sulfer) that never went away. I am used to beach water, but this was extreme. Maybe a filter system would help?
  When 1 person showered, the whole house reeked.
  The biggest issue is I received zero communication from them, only when I called. I am now on day 6, and yet to have a call back to discuss this, even after multiple calls from me. They assured me they would call to discuss these issues but never did.
  As I see online, Carolina Beach Realty has a history of bad customer service.
  Is this how ********************** is with all of their customers and properties?
  We are already planning this years vacation there, will definitely never use Carolina Beach Realty again.
