    On 10/19/2023 I sent in a work requst to have pest control come and deal with a large number of cockroaches. I have attempted to set traps and spray by myself. When attempting to ask for help I was told that pest control comes every Thursday, as of 12/4 pest control has not come. I have reached out multiple times through in perosn and through email. They have offered me powerder and 100 off rent. This is not exceptable for how much effert I have put into them. As stated before I have bought traps, spray, and posion. I have taken a day off of work when told they will be here, and they were not.

    Hello,

    My name is Luisa, the property manager here at the Winslow Apartments. We are still assisting the resident in any way we can to find a solution and be able to help with the roach infestation. We have offered $100 off the rent as a courtesy and also provided our own pest control in the unit and immediately closed off access to the areas where the roaches were coming from. We have also sprayed the neighbor's apartments to eradicate them. We have pest control still set up for service, we are just waiting on them to come out as we have been in touch with the company. Therefore, there was a time lapse in which we told the resident that we will assist him and find immediate solutions from our end but we are not licensed to do a more aggressive approach which the resident has pets and I was considering the safety of the animals. The work order has been placed but there is an order the work orders are managed by priority and order. I have spoken to the resident and I emphasized that we will be helping him in the meantime pest control will come out to spray. I also offered the resident to transfer to another unit. I will keep assisting the resident, but therefore I can't provide him with more solutions other than what I offered that was available to us.     I am rejecting this response because:

    I have filed a complaint previously (Complaint ID: ******** )hoping that will help set things in motion to take care of a pest control problem that we are having. We have discussed with management about moving us out of the unit into another one but since we were not renewing our lease, it was agreed that it was impractical. The best solution was to get pest control to our unit. The problem was first reported to management on the 10/19/23. After that there has been several in person conversation on fixing the issue, as well as a previous complaint. In the last complaint they said they keep me posted. It has been a month and nothing. Since the apartment was unlivable we have moved out and will not be paying the last months rent.

    Thank you for your email. The resident *********************** has moved out since 1/1/2024. We will not have no more updates to this complaint. I explained to him we will not charge him rent for the inconvenience. We have agreed to provide discounted fees to his prior rent and applied to his account.
