In May 2022, I purchased a spray-in bedliner, step rails, and a hardcover from Linex West Babylon. Five months after installing the step rails on my truck, I noticed a water-swishing sound when braking and accelerating. A month later, I discovered ***** water coming from the step rails. Both rails were full of water.I contacted Linex, where they honored the warranty and replaced the step rails. However, less than two months after receiving the new rails in March 2023, the problem resurfaced.Notably, Linex had initially stated that they had never encountered this issue before when they honored the warranty. However, upon contacting Linex corporate regarding the recurrence of the issue, I was informed that the step rails were known to rust and did not have a lifetime warranty, contrary to what I was told by the dealer at the time of purchase. I possess a certificate stating that the step rails had a lifetime warranty, which is inconsistent with the information provided by Linex corporate. I am deeply frustrated with this situation. I initially purchased these step rails, believing they came with a lifetime warranty, only to discover they are prone to rust and not covered. Linex ************ sold me these step rails without adequate information about their durability issues.Furthermore, the lack of response from corporate, despite my request for a manager's call back, has left me feeling unheard and dissatisfied. I've also contacted Linex ************ multiple times over the past months, but there has been no resolution to this ongoing issue.I am seeking a resolution to this problem through a partial refund for the step rails. Additionally, I would appreciate Linex taking responsibility for the misinformation provided about the warranty and ensuring that future customers are informed accurately about the products they purchase.If needed, I can send pictures of the ***** water stains.
