1 starHorrible customer service they arent allowed to do anything. theyre very sneaky. Try to close your account. There is all kinds of fees that are involved they have zero customer service they offer no solutions to problems. They take you through all kinds of phone prompts. Just getting to your account trading is horrendous. Their app I think was designed by a 12 year old as a school project.Review fromjoey r

Problems: poor accounting & poor customer service. In each of the last four years I received a 1099C-corrected (combined tax form for dividends, interest, etc.). It's always the same error. This has caused me to file an amended tax return, wasting time and resources. I can understand one error, but the same error every year??? I sent an e-mail to Ally Invest Support on March 30, 2024, asking for either compensation for my time or coverage of a local tax preparer. They replied, "Thank you for contacting Ally Invest. This email is to confirm that we have received your communication. An Ally Invest representative will review your request and send you a response within 1 to 2 business days." I also called Support and said the same thing. They have not responded with any remedy as of today (04/12/24). I see no option but to change brokers; I'd kick myself if I let this happen to me again.Ally Invest Group Inc

Close the business! I'm a disbaled person here in ********** that attempted to track a $2900 check issued last week and couldn't get answers other than my account is "under review" and they couldn't help mr. 112/19 "****". Then, after calling back to close the account and get a much-needed 10k, I was told by "Perpual" that I couldn't! In both cases, I asked for a Supervisor or Manager and they refused. 1 starI opened an account in March 2022 based on an email that indicated I'd get a promotion. In checking late October 2022 I saw only my initial deposit. I called and after saying that I did answer a promotion was told after ***** minutes that I did not qualify because I am not on their limited list of email recipients ... I have a work mail and two personal emails. I recall I replied to an email I was sent since there is no other way I would have pursed this ... I assume this was on personal email. In any case I ultimately closed my account as they wanted me to sen since they said to resolve this I needed to send them the original email from over 6 months ago. I have emails that the account was opened, etc., but I so not keep solicitation emails, especially as subsequent step seemed to be completed and were moving along. BE WARY ABOUT ALLY IF YOU RESPOND TO PROMOTIONS ... will be discouraging anyone I can from dealing with ALLY going froward.Review fromCJ L

1 starWhen another bank stop handling *** accounts I moved my funds into a self directed account with Ally Invest. After steadily adding more funds to the account I realized that I had opened the wrong kind of account for my goals. I opened another account with ********* and attempted to transfer the funds. Ally Invest couldn't seem to process my transfer to *********. After weeks of frustration, I opened an account with another bank and started the process of transferring my funds to that bank. It took 3 months, 7 calls to Ally Invest, and $100 in fees to get my funds to the new bank. ********** Invest claimed that my transfer needed some medallion signature. Come to find out Ally Invest provides the medallion signature so why would they reject the transfer for the other bank. Then they rejected the transfer without any reason given to me or the bank. Throughout this entire process the only form of communication that I received from Ally was me calling to find out what was going on. They weren't even updating their log of my calls to keep the next agent abreast of the situation. Them playing around with my money for months caused me to miss out on returns on my investment and they had the audacity to charge me fees for taking my money to another bank. This lack of communication, slow processing of documents, and poor customer service has lead me to rate Ally ******************** and ********* negatively.
