Their warranty is worthless. They will blame owner for any and all problems.

Hello. I see you decided to review The Plant Guys 3 years after we last interacted. At that time we denied your request for a replacement plant, due to the fact that you failed to adhere to multiple rules of our warranty. You were presented with our watering guide and warranty information with your estimate, and again when you signed the warranty agreement upon completion of the work. It is extremely uncommon for us to deny warranty claims, but your case had multiple issues where you specifically failed to follow the agreed upon instructions for care. When I spoke to you on the phone, you were extremely rude and hung up on me. Nonetheless, I followed up with a thorough email showing you your signed warranty agreement and highlighting the points where you clearly voided the warranty through failure to follow the instructions you agreed to. Here is my email from after you hung up on me on 8/3/2018"Hello ****************, While I don't particularly appreciate being hung up on, I wanted to make sure you still have a copy of our watering guide and warranty information. Given what you told me over the phone, you have multiple issues with your current watering situation, which has led to the death of your Camellias. First off, in our guide we specifically ask that you contact us as soon as you notice a plant struggling. We ask this because we want to save the plant before it's too late to help it. We also want to minimize damage by catching the issue early. We would have needed you to call back "before the drought" when you noticed them struggling, so that we could offer some solutions. Second, please see the section in our watering guide about watering with sprinkler systems. If your sprinkler was meant to water lawns, it would not be the kind of irrigation you want to use on your shrubs. Third, please note the highlighted section on the warranty agreement you signed when we installed your plants. It very specifically says not to water more often than every 3rd day and that we do not warranty against over-watering issues. We can identify overwatering as the issue due to the decomposed root systems and your admission that you've been watering every day during the drought. If you have any questions or concerns, I'd be happy to help you with them. However, we can not be held responsible for replacing plants that were not cared for in accordance with the guide we provide, so we can not replace the Camellias for free.
