I contacting Blitz Brick Repairs thru the Better Business Bureau. The owner's wife Tanna set up a time to come out & assess the work that needed to be done. This was an older home & the front steps to the home had pulled away & dropped down from the original position, there were cracks in the sidewalk & uneven parts, & there was deteriorating mortar around the front porch, along with a couple of other minor jobs needing repair. After Tanna came out, viewed the area, & took pictures, she said they would submit a proposal after discussing it with her husband Aldo. I accepted the proposal, they gave me a start date & then the work began. I have to say I was very pleased on many levels. Probably top of the list is that Aldo did a very good job of demolishing the existing brick steps, prepping the ground & then laying down a concrete foundation & rebuilding new brick steps to code using bricks the homeowner had. It looks like the original work only better! Another important thing to note is that I needed to be able to leave the home open (when I was not there) for him to do some of the work that was in the basement or garage. I felt totally comfortable doing this with Aldo and trusted him in this matter. He finished the work on time (weather being the only factor limiting any changes & I think that was only once), & cleaned up afterwards. He also found another small area that needed repair after removing the bricks & he did that without adding on to the charges. I appreciate him for that! Quiet frankly I enjoyed being around Aldo & his wife when she came out. They are great people and I miss talking with them. Of course I know people want to hire someone who can do the job, not for friendship or to talk to, but in this case I got both! Great work, great people! I highly recommend them!
