  A few months ago I undertook an annual physical and paid $300 including all lab work.A few weeks later the third party *********** invoiced me for the Lab work. I contacted the *********** and they confirmed Ballantyne Medical had stated to bill me directly for the Lab work.I contacted *********************** at Ballantyne Medical who maintained I should be invoiced for the Lab Work.******** also maintained I must arrange and pay for an additional appointment to have the lab results explained.Several weeks later the owner Dr. ********************** contacted me. He admitted the mistake in billing and chastised ******** for saying I must pay for an additional appointment to discuss the lab results.********************** offered no apology or compensation for the mistakes. He also informed me of a threat to my person by ********* husband because of my complaint about his wife.The numerous mistakes, intransigence of ******** and threats against my person by ********* husband deserve any apology by all persons involved and monetary compensation for my significant inconvenience.These demands have been refused.

  ************************* came in as a first time new patient on 12-12-2022.  He elected to not use any insurance and paid a fee of $ ******.  This fee includes the complete physical exam / ********************* / Obtaining past medical history / Medication review / Medication refills / Any Referrals needed and lab tests. He was seen and examined by ******************** that day.  ************************* elected to not have labs drawn that day. He returned on 2-6-23 to have his labs drawn.  ******************** did not know that ************************* was in that day and did not have the opportunity to click Client **** in Keiths chart. ( this notifies the lab to bill our office in lieu of the patient directly ).  As a result, shortly thereafter ***** received a lab bill for approximately $180.00.  Upon receipt he contacted my office. As a result of that contact we contacted the lab to notify them of this oversight. The lab then zeroed out ******************* account and submitted the lab bill to my office which was then paid in full.  ************************* was not satisfied with that. As a result of his dissatisfaction we returned his entire payment of $****** to him via US Mail. Shortly thereafter he deposited that check. ************************* was not satisfied with that and then attempted to extort additional monies from my office in a text message he sent to my personal cell phone on 3-20-2023 @ 9:35 am where he states he requests $1,953.29 for the time and effort on his part to rectify numerous mistakes made under my responsibility .  Please keep in mind, he was seen here ONCE, and the lab bill oversight was corrected and covered by my office and his total paid new patient complete physical exam fee of $ ****** had been returned to him by this time.

  Additionally, ***********************, my office manager never explained to ************************* that he should be invoiced for the lab work. She was the one who brought the oversight to the attention of myself and ******************** and who contacted the lab to notify them of the oversight so they could reverse the charges. Additionally, I did apologize, numerous times, via reply text to ****** never ending texts to my phone, all hours of the night, which started March 9, 2023 @ 5:43 AM and continued through May 1, 2023 @ 2:43 AM, and I offered and delivered on compensation for the oversight, as discussed above, contrary to his claims below. There was also no threat to his person by ********* husband. This is just another unsubstantiated lie by *************************.  ******************* only factual statement below is in reference to his demands. He has made numerous demands mostly via e mail but also via texts. His demands escalated to the point that my nearly all female staff has become highly concerned by his behavior and uneasy about coming to the office so much that I needed to consult an attorney to intervene and mention a restraining order if he was to continue with his erratic behavior. ( I have copied the Attorney and Law Firm herein.

   

  Please confirm receipt of my reply e mail and let me know how best to proceed so that I follow your BBB Protocol. I have any and all documents you may request to substantiate my claims above.

   

  We have been in business in ********* ** for the past 17 years and this is the first correspondence we have ever received from BBB.  I have been in practice for 25 years, Dr. ******** 35 and two of my female physician assistance over 5 years each and none of us, including all my staff members,  have ever witnessed behavior from any individual as we have from *************************.  I am not surprised he submitted this complaint because he has made it his obsession to defame and discredit us through multiple public on line review sights and has even created fake accounts to expand the reach and impact pf his obsession.  His account his completely incongruent with that of most others. As a testament, in 2023 Ballantyne Medical Associates was awarded the Gold Award ( first place ) by the Charlotte ******** for Best Medical Office and Best Doctor and the Bronze Award ( third place ) for ************************ in ********* ** voted on by the community.
